The Gym, Sunday Evening
After a somewhat delayed reaction to the events of the Attack Shadows, Billy had elected to try to run out his remaining fear and disgust. That hadn't worked.
So, instead he was beating up on a practice dummy rather hard. He'd come close to dying before. Even had a premonition about it. He felt he shouldn't be as frightened about death as he had been. But dying like that, simply fading away, without being able even to try to fight off his attackers...
He'd rarely felt that helpless. And all of a sudden the practice dummy, which until now he'd been pretending was a shadow, was now a shadow that looked remarkably like his father.
*SNAP* Billy held nothing back when he kicked out with his prosthetic, snapping the practice dummy like a twig.
"Aah!" he cried, as pain flared in his thigh where it connected to the artificial limb, and fell to the floor. "Damnit."
ooc: mostly establishy but it's the gym, so, open, but I might be slow on the pinging

She hadn't expected to find anyone there, so she was surprised when she found Billy there, too. Tori frowned as she saw him on the floor. "Billy, are you okay?" Obviously he wasn't, but she didn't want to presume anything.

She put her towel and bottle of water down, hoping to go a few rounds on the punching bag.

"I think what happened is, I jarred the prosthetic against my thigh."

"Couldn't hurt." he said finally.
