Fourth Floor Common Room; Wednesday Afternoon (after classes)

There was a sign tacked up on the doorframe of the common room.

In Japanese, it read: //"Saotome Ranma! If you come anywhere near this room, I will rip your heart out with my bare hands and then force the twins who are supposed to be keeping you away right now to eat it raw!!!"//

Below that, in English, it read: "Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Please don't mind the mess."

Because, in the common room, in a flurry of activity, panic, and the occasional string of angry Japanese, Setsuna was trying to make an ultra-special, uber-chocolatey and perfect and impressive and amazing cake. She even forced herself to break the eggs. It was...an interesting experience, to say the least, but she was determined that she was not going to mess up this opportunity to prepare for Ranma the best honmei-choco imaginable.

[[ s'open, but Set might be very violent toward criticism ^_~ ]]

Ami needed to cook. So Ami headed for the common room. And saw the note. And almost died of laughter.

"Hi Setsuna! What a lovely sign." Ami giggled because really she could not help herself.

"I could tell." Ami grinned as she put some bags on the table. "Would you be horribly offended or inconvenienced if i also used the common room to cook?"

"You are baking?" Ami remembered their first conversation, and how Setsuna said she was not that into cooking of baking. "Cool. I am mostly wrapping things and cutting things and well, stuff." Ami - not very articulate about her plans apparently.

Henry almost totally disregarded the sign in Japanese. He figured it was for another club.
"Good afternoon, Setsuna!" He looked around. "What are you making?"

[identity profile] slr-mercury.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Challenges are good." Ami said, as she started cutting up veggies and making rice.

She contemplated the choco question. "There will be chocolates yes. I am making some."

Ami nodded. "Well, from chocolates melts, designed for making chocolate." She showed Setsuna her molds (http://store.chocart.com.au/product_images/1699_ebay_635.jpg) and fillers (http://www.streichs.com/images/foundation/candywriters.jpg).

Ami mnodded "Sure. Do you know how to do this?"

[identity profile] slr-mercury.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's easy, all you have to do is melt these" she handed Setsuna a bag of dark and milk chocolate melts. "Then, paint them on the mold thickly, put the filler in and fill the rest of the mold with the melted stuff." Ami pointed at the various things she was describing as she described them. "There is chocolate and raspberry filler."

"You are welcome. I really don't mind, and it is always more fun to cook and bake with company."

[identity profile] slr-mercury.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
"Aw, don't be nervous, it will all be good." Ami smiled warmly. While she was horribly nervous about tonight as well, she was not about the cooking.

Henry looked surprised for a second. "Oh! Hold on! I'll be right back!" He rushed out of the room.

Ami, who had no clue why Setsuna was nervous, smiled broadly and continued cooking. Soon there was a large assortment of sushi, chocolates and a number of other things. Ami also started assembling a tray of tea things.

When Henry came back in, he had flowers (http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/images/plants/iris.jpg) for Ami, as well.
Henry gave a somewhat embarrassed incline of the head. “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

[identity profile] slr-mercury.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Ami was kind of startled as she hadn't really gotten anyone anything. "Oh. Thank you Henry. That is very sweet of you. I am sorry i didn't' get anyone anything this year." she said sadly. "but i will make it up to you later. What's your favorite desert?"

[ooc: omg you picked the mun's fav flowers, woot]

[identity profile] henryoredward.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Henry rushed back in with a single-flower (http://www.theafricangarden.com/Gladiolus%20carmineus.jpg) bouquet. "Happy Valentine's Day."

[identity profile] henryoredward.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Henry put his hands up in a stopping gesture. "No, it's all right. I didn't expect anything in return."

[ooc: Really? Fantastic! Henry was hoping to find something that fit Ami, but I think he succeeded on a different level! XD]

[identity profile] slr-mercury.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"No really, I insist. But you have to tell me what you like in a desert." Ami smiled at Henry.

[ooc: nodnod. totally made me smile. which after the stupid snow i needed, thankee]

[identity profile] henryoredward.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if she insisted...
Henry gave a bit of a smile. "I'll eat anything that has chocolate in it."

[identity profile] slr-mercury.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Ami nodded. "chocolate got it.` I officially owe you a chocolate dessert." She grinned.

[identity profile] henryoredward.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Henry laughed. "Thank you very much."

[identity profile] slr-mercury.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
"You are very welcome." Ami grinned and put the flowers in her hair.

[identity profile] henryoredward.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Henry looked a little shocked. "Thank you!" It was chocolate. His one true weakness. (Y'know, aside from all that Edward Hyde stuff.) He inclined his head a little. "Thank you very much."

[identity profile] henryoredward.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
"I was just a little surprised. Thank you." He gave a self-depreciating smile. "In London, it is-" he amended- "it was tradition to give gifts anonymously on Valentine's Day. It was a way to save any embarrassment." He chuckled. "However, I've gathered that it means something entirely different now to receive gifts from an anonymous sender on this day."
