Lana wasn't sure if Conner was going to be joining her today since they hadn't discussed it, but she really needed to get out and run. So she's here, stretching and getting ready.

On his way back to the dorms after Mystical Artifacts class, Wyatt paused at the door. "You," he said, looking at Lana. "I've been wanting to talk to you."

Oh, great.

As if her week wasn't bad enough already.

She managed a polite, but cool smile. "Yes?"

"How the hell did you get to the Underworld after I told you you couldn't go with us?" Wyatt demanded.

Lana blinked at him. "I'm sorry. Who died and made you God?"

"You could've gotten killed down there!" Wyatt said. "Plus me and Chris got left behind because you and that other guy went through the portal instead of us."

Conner hadn't talked to Lana much recently, which he was starting to feel bad about, and he'd been wondering if she'd been going running without him. So, heading out to the front of the dorms at about the usual time in his running gear, he was relieved to see her there.

"Hey, you," he said with a smile.

Lana was really not in the mood to deal with any of this. "We didn't get killed or hurt in any way," she said a bit angrily. "And as I recall, you grabbed me and shoved me through the portal. I didn't ask you to."

"Did you have an exit route planned then?" Wyatt asked, crossing his arms.

"We got there on our own, didn't we?" Lana said. "And yes, we had a way out."

Of course, none of them had wanted Aziraphale to have to come and get them, but he would have if it had been necessary. Besides, none of it was any of Wyatt's business.

Lana smiled a little wanly. "Hey Conner, I'm glad to see you. Sorry, I didn't call. I just hoped I'd see you here."

"Not a problem," Conner told her. "I was out of town over the weekend and didn't get back until Tuesday morning, anyway . . . hey, you okay?"

"Right, and we were supposed to leave you and your boyfriend there while you waited for your taxi or whatever," Wyatt said.

Lana sighed. "Jim's dad called last night. He's taking him away for break. Which is good for Jim, I guess, even though he and his dad don't get along, but..."

She shrugged. "We'd been looking forward to just being able to spend the week together."

Lana didn't which thing to be more offended by first.

"You think Dr. Wilson is my boyfriend?" she replied angrily. "That is just wrong on so many levels I don't know where to start. And you know, there is such a thing as speaking to people. You could have asked if we needed a way out. What if you'd screwed everything up for us by shoving me through? You could have really hurt someone because you think you know better than everyone else. But no, all you like to do is naysay and shove people around!"

"Aw, man, that sucks," Conner said, frowning. "Seriously, that . . . at least it's just for break, and not for some whoever-knows-how-long time."

"Let's see, there were demons coming around the corner, ready to slaughter us," Wyatt said. "Forgive me if saving your ass came before politely inquiring if you'd like to return to the school through the portal -- which I might point out that your not-boyfriend had already jumped through."

"I know," Lana said. "At least this time he has a return ticket and it's not one of those, 'I'm pulling you out of school till I decide what to do with you' sort of things. Which is good, because I was a total wreck when that happened before. I don't think I could take that again."

"I would go kick Jim's dad's ass myself if he tried to pull that again," Conner declared, scowling. "That is so not cool."

"Is there some point to the nastiness or were you just looking for someone to harass?" Lana asked. "Because really, this is not the day to be jumping all over me."

"I just want to know how you did it," Wyatt said. "How did you get there?"

"Yeah, I agree," Lana said. She smiled up at him. "I'm glad you came. I really need to run and it's good to have company."

"Why?" Lana asked. "Why the hell does it matter to you?"

"Because it's part of my job to know about who can go traipsing through the Underworld at will," Wyatt said.

Lana raised her eyebrows at him. "Why don't you go ask my 'boyfriend' then, because at this point I'm not interested in telling you anything. You just probably don't want to let my real boyfriend know what you're saying or he'll beat the crap out of you."
