Dorm Hallways - Monday afternoon
Annette was rollerblading again. Up and down the hallways. There were a lot of students gone so she figured she'd get away with it pretty good, so she was going along at a nice speed.
After playing in the snow and getting cold and wet for the most part, she didn't want to go back outside. She had taken a near scalding hot shower and dressed afterward in a pair of cut off shorts and long sleeved tee. She wasn't rollerblading for exercise or anything; she was doing it just for fun. She didn't feel like staying couped up in her room right now.
But she was singing, and by now everyone could almost expect that that wasn't such a good thing. Her ipod was blaring and she was in a great mood.
And maybe, just maybe, she might visit the Devil's Nest late this evening, after the Teal Dear concert. Mr. Phale and Dr. Wilson sparked her curiosity with the mentioning of Lucifer. She might have to get a picture of him. How cool would that be?

This is, of course, why she's... at a loose end, and meandering around the dorms.
The singing Mac's heard before, hallway rollerblading is new to her however, so she paused and watched the other girl for a moment.

She sort of noticed Mac just standing there, watching her, a little too late and when she started to stop, she did so too quickly and skidded and flailed and fell smack up against the wall just right past where Mac was standing.
Pulling out her earplugs, Annette rested there against the wall and said, "Uh, hey Mac. What's up?"

She frowned a little, "You okay?" she asked carefully. Going into walls at that speed had to hurt.
no subject
"Sure, I'm fine. No problemwhatsoever." She nodded, smiling even. "How are you doing, Mac?"
no subject
"You're... making the most of the quiet hallways, huh?" she said, a small smile in place.

Annette looked back at Mac and offered her a small smile. "Missing Cally?"

She paused for a moment, before finally continuing with, "You only realise just how much time you spend with someone, when they're... not there." Yeah, that's probably the closest she'll come to actually admitting she misses Cally.

"I...have a bottle of rum in my room, you know, if you might want any?" Not that drinking it would satisfy any sort of longing, but hey, rum. Not that Annette sat around and drank rum all the time either. It was for the squirrels after all. And Mac. If Mac wanted any.

"It's two weeks," she said. "I think rum, probably unnecessary at this point. Um, nice offer, though."
no subject
"So, I have an extra set of rollerblades?"
no subject
Right now, she was probably going through all the ways that could be an unmitigated disaster.

"If you sort of brace yourself for it and tell yourself that it will be okay? Then no, it doesn't really hurt at all. I just kind of stopped funny, I think. I think a crash would have really hurt. And I wouldn't suggest drinking rum and rollerblading. You know, at the same time." Possibly her head got knocked just a little bit too.

"Rum and rollerblades, may have that awesome alliteration thing goin' on," Mac wrinkled her nose, because that was totally unintentional on her part. "But, no, not so good as a literal mix."
