Fourth Floor Common Room, Thursday morning

Ami was taking it easy. And trying to figure out if anything from what she remembered is important. There was the map she saw on the wall of the corridor she was being dragged through.

Getting a piece of paper form her bag, she sat down on the couch and started sketching what she remembered of it.

[ooc: open, duh. come, ask about aliens :)]

Conner's soccer ball came skittering into the common room, and Conner chased it in.

"Hey," he said, realizing someone was in here. "Whatcha drawing?"

"Alien spaceship?" asked Conner who nope, hasn't met Ami yet, his eyebrows immediately shooting up. "Like, are you making one up for a story or something?"

A voice -- it sounded like Ethan's -- in the back of his head asked, Or as in the kind of aliens that abduct people and experiment on them? It's a movie classic standby, dude.

Sometimes Conner hated it when Ethan was right. "Conner McKnight," he said, giving her a friendly smile before he sat down nearby. "You saw this ship yesterday? Wait . . . did someone find you unconscious and wounded like I found Tori?"

"You do?" Conner dug his phone out of his pocket and checked it; sure enough, there was a voicemail message from Tori (http://connernotconnor.livejournal.com/306.html?thread=131634#t131634) waiting, and he took a moment to listen to it, his expression growing more worried. "What happened? She and Lana both told me it seemed like they'd been gone for days, and you guys all look pretty busted up . . . I say we go after these goons," he concluded because it's been so long since I had him use a cheesy piece of stock PR dialogue.

Mmm, logic. Logic always tended to bring Conner's impulsive plans to a fantastic screeching halt.

"Well, uh, but," he sputtered. "We gotta find out! We can't let them keep doing this!" See, identifying point A and Point B didn't pose a problem for Conner. It was just drawing the line in between that screwed him up.

Conner could totally get behind optimism. But he'd spent a year of his life fighting a creepy mad scientist, and this abduction stuff was a little too close to what Mesogog had done. "Maybe," he said dubiously, "but if people are going to keep getting hurt like this, I don't want to take that risk. Who else knows anything about what's going on?"

"I'm a big fan of bringing it together," Conner said with a nod. "Comparing notes, all that. Mind if I sit in, when you do that? I want to help."

The look on his face implied they wouldn't be able to stop him from trying to help, anyway.

Conner laughed. "You've never seen my desk, obviously. I'll try. At least, I'll talk to Tori . . . she's way more organized than I am."

"No, I'm just gonna let her tell me what to do," Conner replied, grinning. "She has lots of experience ordering guys like me around."

[OOC: Off for lunch, back in an hour!]

"Long story," Conner said. "Let's just say her friends back home and I got along, the one time we met."

Conner nodded and looked down, twisting his Dino Gem bracelet around his wrist. "I don't think she's going to take this lying down, either."

Billy came in, after showering and changing. "What's this?" he asked.

"We can totally do both," Conner said firmly. "Anybody who messes with people like this needs to be taught a lesson."
