Roof, Friday afternoon and on into evening

Sokka sat on the roof, holding a sheet of cardboard over his head, and gazed out into the rain. He was soaked through despite the cardboard, but held onto it anyway. It felt like it was helping.

He wasn't moping, or feeling sorry for himself, he was just -- there was no point in searching outside any more until this rain let up.

"Katara!" he called, into the great sucking void of falling water. "KAAATAAAARAAAAA!"

Wherever she was, he hoped she was indoors.

Tori had been looking for Sokka, to let him know how her search had gone. She wished she had found some answers, it was starting to freak her out, how Katara had just seemed to vanish.

The roof seemed like the ideal place to sulk, no matter the weather. Walking onto the room, Tori was soaked to the bone after a few minutes. Her appearance matched her mood.

[OOC: Slowplay probably, home for break, will be spending time with my family.]

Evie just wanted to see how high the water had gotten, and thought the roof would give her a good viewpoint. She blinked upon seeing Sokka up there, and waved uncertainly from the door.

"I have a hat," Evie pointed out, and sloshed her way over to him. "And what are you doing out here, if it's so wet?"

Evie looked out over the water-drenched landscape, then nodded. "Of course it is. And she might see you up here. And know you're worried."

Tori shook her head, in regret. She hadn't been able to find a single thing. "I'm sure she's fine wherever she is." Tori was trying to be optimistic.

Evie patted his arm, and looked up at his cardboard thoughtfully. "Then you can probably look for her from inside a Common Room, can't you?" Coaxingly, she said, "You could get sick out here. And then you won't be able to look for Katara when the rain stops."

Tori managed to give Sokka a small smile, as she sat down next to him. "I know. I'm sorry, Sokka. I wish I had found something."

Evie's eyes had gone huge as he'd yelled again, and she'd stumbled after him, clutching her hat to her head. Then come to an abrupt halt as stopped. "Frogsicles? Where?!"

Tori nodded. "He definitely could have." She certainly hoped so. "I'm assuming you haven't talked to him yet?" Tori hadn't seen him either.

[OOC: Finally got the first Self Defense Club post up, hee!]

"I should think so! Good Lord." Evie boggled at him, then shook her head and pushed her hat up a little bit. "And it worked? Are you quite certain? That doesn't seem like it should help."

Tori laughed. "Oh, yes. I didn't bump into him, so I didn't know he had changed, as well."

"But better to avoid getting ill again this time, than to risk frogs," Evie said hastily. "I should think they don't have the right kind of frogs here. Don't you?" She looked mournfully over the roof at the rain. "Katara *must* be somewhere dry, at least."

Evie patted his arm, hoping he'd put down the pinkness in her face to the cold and rain, rather than embarassment and suddenly realizing he was holding onto her. "In. And yes, this *is* her thing, so..." She carefully made her way inside. "Congratulations on being a boy again, by the way."

Evie giggled back at him, and offered, "Why don't I make us cocoa, while we dry off? We can drink it in the hallway, or in my room, either way."
