5th floor common room - early Sat. evening

She definitely wasn't looking too hot. Annette lay sprawled on the couch, a half eaten box of chocolates resting on her stomach. And she was watching Church Chat, thinking that it might make her laugh. It wasn't working. It was stupid right now. They were all stupid. She didn't feel special. Not at all.

After her visit to the clinic, then gun club, she felt the need to splurge and  Turtle & Canary was all too happy to oblige her.

"That is a stupid wig. Stooopid."

Marco came in, saw Annette, and leaned over to grab a chocolate.

River was sneaking up behind the couch and stealthily stretched out a hand towards the chocolate box.

She snatched the box back, looking up at him.

Marco looked down and stuck his tongue out at her.

Annette might have been a little slow in the reflex department, she was too busy glaring at the TV and that sonnnnggg. Guhh.

But, she did feel when her box moved. "Hey!"

She stuck her tongue back out at him. "You can't have any if you can't talk right."

"I can talk right!" Marco said gleefully and reached for a chocolate.

River quickly grabbed a chocolate, then her arm disappeared behind the couch.

"Hey!" Annette repeated and sort of halfway raised herself up from the couch. She was just too freaking lazy to actually get up and investigate who stole her chocolate.

"There will be retribution." She decided to say, shoving another chocolate in her mouth.

She slapped his hand. "Why could you not talk right to me the other night. Make me pout and wonder what was wrong with you." She hugged her chocolate protectively.

River giggled from behind the couch and threw a popcorn back at Annette.

Marco pouted. "I have no idea, it lasted all day. I sounded completely fine to my own ears, so I had no idea why you were so worried."

"Hey!" Yes her word for the moment. "Who did that! Popcorn and chocolate-" She ate the piece of popcorn. "Okay, they do taste pretty good together."

She frowned. "Do I know that giggle? I think I know that giggle."

Shawn was up a couple of floors, as he sometimes is when he gets bored and goes looking for people.

He flopped on the other end of Annette's couch and glanced over. "Looking cheerful today," he remarked.

"You were...all backwards and stuff." She frowned. "Don't ever do it again."

Then because she was nice, she offered him a single piece of chocolate. "Just one. I hear they make you fat if you eat a bunch."

River kept quiet but threw another popcorn.

"Yo," she said with a nod, her expression blank. "I thought I was hot."

...and Annette ate it, but she thought to add, "Needs butter. Maybe a little more salt."

Marco tossed the chocolate into his mouth. "And ruin my delicate figure? Never! And it wasn't on purpose!"

"Huh, so you say. I think you wanted me to think I was crazy. Which is not far from the truth today. Open your mouth, this could be fun." She grabbed another chocolate and made to toss it in his mouth.

Marco obediently opened his mouth. "Aaaaa."

"And ice cream," River added from behind the couch. She reached for another chocolate.

Annette threw it, maybe a little too hard. She was such a stinker like that.

"Hey! Rivvveerrr!" Annette knew she knew that giggle. And this time she saw her hand reaching for her precious chocolate and snatched her box away.

"Mine!"

River made a very sudden attack for the chocolate box, diving over the couch and ending up next to Annette.
