Buffy got to the campgrounds early, hauling two huge bags with her. She put them down by the stones of the central camp fire. She looked at it. Firewood. She needed lots of it. She headed off to gather fallen branches and similar.

Slowly everything got set up. There were camping tables with plates, cups and sticks for grilling things with. There were tables with hot dogs, peeps and other grillable things, and a separate table for drinks (so far non-alcoholic).

She set her cd-player on a flat rock, and while it looked tiny and insignificant outdoors, it would at least have music. Hopefully the random showers would stop by night fall, she thought and covered everything with plastic.

Then she walked back to the school and grabbed every umbrella and blanket she could get her hands on, and walked back, dumping everything by one of the tables. With her hands on her hips she regarded everything in satisfaction. Yes. Totally Not Prom was on!

Once people start arriving, the campfire starts blazing. Grab a blanket if it's cold, or to sit on, and chat with everyone else. (and Buffy's ready with the catapult for any upperclassmen sneaking in)

Grill everything you can think of. Or you can eat it without grilling, but where's the fun in that?

There's Buffy's cd-player, and there might be some singing later on, if people feel like it. There's definitely music for dancing. Have fun at the Totally Not Prom!

Buffy is here (of course), making sure everything goes according to plan, and nothing blows up. She pulls the blanket closer around herself and smiles happily.

Naomi had decided after a great deal of thought to attend the Not Prom. It sounded like it would be fun and right then she wanted to do something that was fun so that she wouldn't have to spend all her time worrying about other things.

Buffy waved hello from her spot by the fire. "Hi! Welcome to Not Prom! Hope you enjoy your stay," she grinned.

Naomi waved in response, "hi," she said with a smile, "I think I'll enjoy this,"

"I think I will too. If nothing else, we can grill peeps and that's always fun," Buffy said solemnly, but her eyes were amused.

Hermione wouldn't have gone to prom anyway, probably, but still, she figures maybe she should get out a bit. Also, people might yell at her if she doesn't. She takes a seat by the fire, mostly watching the others.

[On SP like woah, but wanna play.]

"Hi!" Buffy waved. "The fire is pretty, don't you think?" She regarded the fire proudly.

"It is," Hermione says, and realizes that she's kind of bad in social situations when she adds, "Did you make it yourself?"

"Yup. It took a while, 'cause I only picked the fallen branches and stuff," Buffy said. "But in return I probably did, like, a third of the work the sorority had in mind for the paths."

She's actually kind of impressed there's a third of the forest left after the lichenthrope hunters got to the trees. "I'm sure they'll be horribly disappointed to have that help," she says.

"Well, I didn't want to wreck the trees even more. The forest is kinda... scorched looking," Buffy said thoughtfully.

"I was planning to plant more when it got a little warmer," Hermione says quickly.

"Ooh, planting trees is a good idea!" Buffy beamed obliviously at Hermione.

"It was really nice of you to plan this," she changes the subject.

Buffy shrugged. "I want to party too. I wasn't sure anyone would show up, really, but there's you and Naomi!"

"I'm sure more will be along, too. There are a lot of people who can't go to the dance, so at least they have something to do."

Buffy thought of the long list of names she'd ended up with on her email and nodded. She glanced towards the food tables. "I have enough peeps for the entire school to eat, I think, so even if lot of people turn up, they'll get food."

Marco was still pouting over his lack of a date, so he decided to join in the celebration for everyone else not headed towards Prom.

Nadia's brought her guitar as well, just in case anyone had any requests.

Katara wasn't getting too close to the fire, but she was there with her hair down for once ready to have fun.
