Outside the Dorms, Friday Morning

Adam had finally arrived. He had made sure to check in, sample some apple pie and then dropped his belongings off ~~handwavily~~ at the cabin he'd been assigned to.

Now, he had decided to explore a little, starting with the dorms and the grounds. He wanted to get a feel for this place. So far, so good.

Adam had a feeling he was going to be meeting some interesting folks as the day went on.

Conner was hauling his things out to the cabins, dribbling a soccer ball in front of him as he went.

You'd think he'd be accustomed to these things by now, but no -- not so much. And he'd recognize that face from Doctor Oliver's pictures anywhere.

"Excuse me," he said, approaching Adam. Wait for it, ladies and gentlemen, Conner McKnight was about to be tactful for once in his life. "You wouldn't happen to be from Angel Grove, would you?"

Much like Conner, Bridge was in the process of moving things out to the cabins.

And then he sees Adam.

And just gapes.

Adam turned, not recognizing the guy who was talking to him. He did take note of the soccer ball, though. A fellow soccer fan, nice.

"Actually, I am." Adam nodded, wondering how or why he'd know that.

And that would be Adam staring back, quizzically. He glanced down at his outfit, suddenly feeling nervous that something was wrong with him.

"I thought so," Conner replied with a nod. "You look like an Angel Grove kind of -- I mean, I know someone else from there."

Yeah, that sounded innocent. Keep dreaming, McKnight.

Adam nodded, smiling. He was slightly puzzled at the first statement but shrugged it off.

"I'm Adam." He offered his hand, manners overcoming his intial wariness.

"...Hi." Bridge says, when he finally finds his voice. He should be used to this. He's met Conner and Tori and the Far-Less-Cute Xander. But this is someone from one of the first Earth teams.

Unlike Conner and Bridge, Z was not in the process of moving things to the cabins. That was what she had replicates for. No, Z was in the process of stealing a lemon meringue pie and chortling madly to herself because, pie!

And then she saw Adam and stopped dead in her tracks. "Wait a minute..."

"Conner McKnight, from up north in Reefside," he replied. He'd grasped Adam's hand and had gotten through the first upswing of a handshake by the time it clicked in his brain. "Adam Park? Like, friend of Tommy Oliver's Adam Park? For real?"

"Nice to meet you Conner." Adam stated. "Um, yes?" He was a bit taken aback. "You know Tommy, too? He's never mentioned you to me." No offense was meant by that. Adam was just speaking the truth.

"Yeah, I . . . no, I mean . . . they didn't tell you too much about the weird time issues here, did they?" asked Conner, flailing for words. No sense in freaking the poor guy out too much just yet, even if HOLY CRAP IT WAS ADAM FREAKING PARK.

"Hey." Adam smiled slightly, still feeling nervous about being in this new place knowing next to no one. "I'm Adam. I'm new." If he couldn't all ready tell, that is. It was slightly reminiscent of his first day at Angel Grove High, except he had Aisha and Rocky, along with having met the other Rangers beforehand.

Adam had been checking out the dorms and suddenly felt someone watching him. Turning slightly, he spotted the girl that was currently staring at him.

And that would be Adam's shy gene kicking in. He blushed slightly and averted his gaze.

Right, don't freak out the people from the past. Z switched the pie to her left hand and held out her right to Adam. "Hi. Z Delgado, I'm so pleased to meet you. Is it new student day already?"

"No, they didn't." Adam shook his head, not as freaked out by that as he might've been earlier in the year. Yeah, it might've been attributed to the fact that he'd been transported back to an earlier time in Angel Grove.

"Bridge, look," Z hissed ~~not at all subtly~~. "It's Adam!"

Adam smiled at her and accepted her hand, shaking it. He noticed the emphasis on the so, but brushed it off. "It's nice to meet you Z. I'm Adam Park." Still smiling, he nodded. "Yeah, it is."

Z might have been internally squeeing. This was so cool. "So, Adam, what brings you to Fandom High?"

"I-" know, Bridge starts to say, then stops as he notices Adam is wearing *black*. Which means he's still the Black Ranger. Which means he's still got... certain events to live through. Letting on *too* much about the future might be a bad idea. "I'm Bridge," he offers, sticking out a gloved hand.

"I know!" Bridge flails. "Dude, Z, he's wearing black," he points out.

"Let's put it this way, dude," Conner told him. "My girlfriend? Is from like the thirteenth century. Some of my friends? Are from the future. And other planets, but if I'm remembering right the whole alien thing shouldn't be a big deal to you by now, right?"

"I know!" Z flailed right back. "How cool is this?"

Adam, obviously didn't know that ~~but his mun loved it!~~ He thought back to his experience with Goldar and grimaced ever so slightly before answering.

"Just trying something new." It was the truth. If not the whole truth.

Z's first impulse was to say, 'But you're wearing black! You're supposed to be saving the world!' but she nobly tamped that down in favor of a sedate nod. "That's cool. Everybody needs a change now and then."

"Very cool," Bridge says. "Very, very cool. As long as we don't irreparably damage the timeline or anything."
