Abominable Snowman Campfire, Monday Morning

Adam didn't have any workshops today, but he had still gotten up early. It was just something engrained in his system.

He had handwavily gone for an early morning jog down to the beach and back and Adam was now relaxing in a chair, appreciating the morning quiet.

He was both excited and nervous about his workshops, even though his first one was on Wednesday. Adam was looking forward to seeing if he knew anyone that would be taking the same workshops as him.

Annette was wandering around, as one does when one doesn't really have anything else to do.

She noticed the new guy, or she assumed was a new guy, and headed over in that direction. "Hi," she said when she got close enough, hopefully not interrupting him.

Yep, Adam was a new guy.

"Hey." He greeted her. She wasn't interrupting him, at all. "Are you new or a seasoned student?" Adam smiled.

Warren was totally just exploring. He absolutely hadn't gotten lost last night and been unable to find his way back to his cabin. Totally. Didn't. Happen.

He waved to one of the innumerable people he hadn't met yet as he wandered up to the campfire circle.

Adam waved back and smiled warmly at the new face. "Hey there."

She grinned at that, "I guess you could call me seasoned." Walking over to him, she extended her hand. "Annette Hargrove, I'll be a senior this next school year."

Adam smiled and shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you Annette. I'm Adam Park, going to be a junior in the fall."

"Pleased to meet you, Adam." She helped herself to a chair nearby. "So how are you adjusting? Everything coming along okay for you?"

"So far, so good." Adam nodded, smiling warmly at her. "The people that I've met so far, have been really friendly and helpful." And Annette was now a part of that group.

"That's great! And always good to hear." She smiled; he was cute and friendly. "Who's your big sibling?"

"Thanks, yeah. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about not being able to find my way around. Turns out I had nothing to worry about." Adam chuckled. "I have a big brother, Lucas Wolenczak."

"Hey," Warren wandered over. "Warren Cheswick, nice to meet you."

"Adam Park, nice to meet you too." Adam smiled and offered him a seat. "I gather you're a new student, too?"

Warren flopped down and stretched out his legs. "You gather correctly, sir," he said, a little tiredly. "Which means apparently everyone wants to pull one over on me."

"Yeah, I've heard some really strange stories so far." Adam admitted. "And apparently, there's some connection between squirrels and the radio. They take notes or something on what people do around here and then someone reports it." He explained. "But apparently, not of all it's true. I was warned not to believe everything."

Warren nodded. He'd listened to a broadcast or two. "At least you got that warning. I swear, everyone is trying to convince me of the most insane stuff. Like, aliens coming to Earth to blow up their school."

"Hmm, I don't think I know him." Could be hard to determine though; she's met so many people over the last several months.

"Being nervous will go away and I'm glad that you are doing so well. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?"

"I heard that story too." Adam nodded. He was more inclined to believe it, well, because of the things he'd seen back home. "And I think I heard something about gremlins?" He couldn't remember exactly.

Annette waved at another person she had yet to meet, "Hi."

"There's so many people here. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep track of everyone I'll continue to meet." Adam admitted, smiling slightly. It was like his first day at Angel Grove High. But he had Rocky and Aisha with him at the time. So it wasn't as bad.

"Thanks. I'm sure it'll pass eventually." He grinned. "Oh, not at all. I'm from Angel Grove, California. It's a small town compared to San Francisco."

[It's okay, I do that all the time. I really should be studying for my 5:15PM final, but this is more fun. Especially now that I also have Tori on her date with Luke.]

"Oh, that's just the school mascot. It was in the brochure."

She chuckled, "I know, I still don't know everyone, or if I've met them? I have a hard time remembering names." She admitted. "Oh! So you're normal then?" Yeah, not real subtle there.

And here, of course, was yet another seriously hot girl. It'd be heaven, if it weren't so stressful trying to impress them all. "Hi!"

She smiled warmly and stood up from her chair to shake his hand, "Annette Hargrove, not new. You?"

"Warren Cheswick." He took a chance and moved to kiss her hand. Never knew when a bit of old fashioned gentlemanly behavior might win you some points. "New as the day I was born. Except I have hair. And education. And, okay, not so new as all that, but new here."

"So do I." Adam admitted, with a laugh. He blinked and then laughed at her question, before answering. "I guess I'm normal, yes? In a sense that I'm human." He nodded, grinning. "Around here, what constitutes normal?"

Hey, he was new but he was learning!
