Turtle was having a fantastic, fantastic Monday, which made her really happy because she needed it with the emo she had at the beginning of the weekend. So she was out by the campfire with a huge bag of candy, enjoying the fire on the warm night as she worked on a practise stocks portfolio. The good thing about working on one here was that if she messed up for the portfolio turned out back, she could use it for fuel for the fire. Sweeeeet.

John came outside to sit by the campfire. He might have cringed when he saw Turtle, but he still waved and said, "Good evening," to her.

"Hey, John!" Turtle waved back and offered out the bag of assorted candies out to him. "Want some?"

It took a moment for her to even remember the kick, especially with the good day she'd had, so she also added with a smirk, "How's the shin?"

John took a candy. "Thanks," he said, sitting down. "The shin's okay. Ronan actually healed it for me the other night."

"Oh. He heals?" Turtle didn't know that. Turtle should remember that the next time Annette gave her crap about kicking people because, hey, not like there aren't probably fifty million healers here anyway. Her nose wrinkled over the lost chance to have mentioned that during their last fi-- arguement.

John nodded, "Apparently it's part of wizardry." John was a little nervous considering what he and Annette were planning for Wednesday night. He tried to act cool.

Turtle nodded. "Yeah, he talked to me a little about that. About how wizardry's...all about exchange and balance and magic is...um, not, or something." After class last week, Turtle was thinking magic...premonition, at least, was just a bunch of hooey, but whatever. "So....if it was his wizardry, what'd you have to exchange? YOUR SPLEEEEEN?"

She said it super-dramatically for effect. Plus? A lot of sugar and too many flirtations over guns.

"Uh, I don't know. He didn't really say." John made a mental note to ask Ronan about this exchange thing.

"Wasn't firearms class cool today?" John was still excited about the flamethrower ammo he'd tried.

"Yeah." Turtle sighed. Very wistfully, dorky grin creeping on her face. "Real cool..."

"What kinds of guns and ammo did you try?" he asked since he hadn't paid much attention to other students during class.

And Turtle's attention had been focused entirely on only one other student.

"Um, lightweight ammo with a heavier type of gun, by suggestion. I've only just been starting to learn to shoot, since Professor Deadpool got me a gun for my birthday, so I'm not very good. You shoot much?"

"Just for this class, actually. But I got to use some really cool ammo that made the gun into a sort of flame thrower!"

Turtle's tongue pokes a piece of candy out of her teeth as she idly threw another piece of paper into the fire. "...Really?"

"Yup," he said with a grin, leaning back in the chair.

"Now, why hadn't I noticed that?" Turtle asked, eyes a little wide for a moment before she realized why she hadn't. Right. Tannim. She shook her head a little. "So...what did you end up doing with the flamethrower-esque shot gun? Think it'd be very effective?" Her eyebrows waggled a little. "Marketably effective?"

John grinned, "I used it to set the target on fire, of course! And yes, it would be wholly marketable to the population of this school." He paused, "Think about it: gun that shoots flames. What boy at this school wouldn't want one?"

"I'd imagine the majority of the girls, too," Turtle added with a smirk. Then, she shook her head. "Maaaan, you seriously lit the target on fire from where you were?"

John shook his head, "Nah, but that was the goal, anyways." He wasn't a good enough shot to do so well quite yet. "Hopefully we'll get to try those again. Or maybe I can buy my own at your store if you start selling 'em!" he waggled his eyebrows at her.

Turtle snorted a laugh at the eyebrows. "Maybe. I'll have to put together a disclaimer to include in the packaging that the company or the company that sells them will not be held responsible for any forest fires or burned down orphanages that result from the purchase of said product."
