Turtle was partially bored and Turtle had been sitting in her room, trying to think of even more ways to try to situate herself in a standing where she'd be a good, easy choice for her fellow sophomores to vote in to represent them in the student council. A small rumble from her stomach and a reminder of her sweet tooth had the perfect idea: food, of course! Sweet, to be specific! Cupcakes!

There was one problem. Turtle wasn't exactly much of a cook. Bad cupcakes could have bad results. She considered just going to J,GOB, getting some, and sharing them, but that didn't seem to reflect well on her tenacity. She thought a little harder.

Oh, sure, there were still J,GOB cupcakes there, yes, for those who wouldn't want to wait. But Turtle had also picked up a great many supplies for the opportunity for people to make their own cupcakes to their own tastes, the things scattered all around the kitchen and a ridiculous amount of pans and toppings and everything. Quite a nice spread. And, subtly, a seemingly unfinished "Vote for Turtle" sign placed on the counter, as if Turtle had merely just paused her work for the 'spontaneous' cupcake smörgåsbord.

Now, hopefully some people who could actually make them well would show up. Currently, though, Turtle was trying her hand at ultra-sugar-Pixi-Stix-Gumboreo Cupcakes.

"I haven't read many demon books that are in Greek," Willow said. "Though they must be out there. There's Greek demons after all."

"Kinda, yeah," Turtle admitted with mock shyness, wrinkling her nose. "I really want to get in, you know?"

"Oo - you know herbs?" Willow asked. "I've done some herb work. It's not the same as full-on witchiness, but it does come in handy. Especially when you're trying to get rid of the parts of spells that say the room needs to smell bad when you're done."

"Sophomore social or something like that." Anemone wandered over to the fridge and pulled out a bag with notes scribbled all over it in English and kanji, mostly along the lines of 'Anemone's, do not eat!'. Pulling some jalapeños out, she started chopping them and adding to some of her cupcake batter. "We totally need to have more parties around here."

"Or we could take them somewhere nice," Turtle pointed out with a serious tilt of her head. She still had that nine hundred dollars from kicking Annette that she wanted to spend on Jeff somehow. And she had a feeling that Willow might appreciate the nice feminist angle. But then she frowned slightly.

"Do you think they'd let us? I mean, I think Jeff would, but Peter seems like a very proper sort of guy and everything."

"Well, I don't think I've met anyone boring here, that's certain!" Beauty laughed. "If you think Professor Deadpool is one of the good ones, though, then I'll give him another chance."

Because yeah, she could have been stuck with dull teachers who just droned on about proper pronunciation and poetic symbolism and sucked all the interest out of a subject. "I should try harder to get into the spirit of things," she decided.

"You don't believe in something silly like that," asked an amused Hoshi.

Turtle's head quirked in an amused fashion at Anemone's choice of spicing up her cupcakes. She might avoid those ones, but she did appreciate the creativity. "I agree," Turtle said. "I'm very good at throwing parties. My best one, though, unfortunately, was thrown for someone who's not here. He left for an internship, but I know he would have given me a very good testimonial."

"Oh no, not me!" Beauty answered hastily. "I was thinking of some of the women back at Blue Hill. Who make up potions and things for curing illnesses, or...charms for the crops, things like that. Not proper sorcery."

She eyed Willow hesitantly, and added, "Do you mean that you do spells yourself?"

"But you're already making Pixi Stix Cupcakes!" Turtle enthused with a motion at their creations. "That's very much in the spirit of things!"

"Demon books? Would they have that at the library?" asked Hoshi, puzzled.

"Yeah, I get it," Adam nodded, smiling warmly. "Well, you have my vote."

"Oh he will if he knows what's good for him," Willow said, looking rather confident in this.

Turtle pressed her lips together. "I don't know?" she offered with uncertainty. "Not really? But, I mean, this is important. I really can't take any chances."

"Yep," Willow nodded. "I'm a witch. But a good one, though! Promise! No doing naughty things like, as for example, forcing everybody in range to stick to a particular season of the year."

"Special Collections," Willow said, automatically. "Watch out for the genie."

"But I think the voting goes by class," Turtle explained. "Like, the freshmen vote for the freshman rep, sophomores for sophomore rep, etc, etc. Since you're a junior...and I'm a sophomore...." She pouted.

"Oh, really? I didn't realize that," Adam frowned slightly.

A very pleased grin slowly crept onto Turtle's face. "Exactly," she said, nodding firmly. And then, a moment later, adding, "Awesome."

"Alright," said Hoshi. "I won't mention it. I'm not sure who else is a sophomore, though."

"But! You can do what Jeff's doing, and just sort of spread the good word? He's a junior, too."

"If you plan, I'll help bake. I even promise to clearly label things so that no one else has to suffer through some of my stranger concoctions." Anemone waved a pepper at Turtle gleefully. "I just need to use these before they go bad. I can stick to simple things, like pie, for a party."

"Sure!" Adam grinned. "I'd be happy to do that."

"I suppose it is, isn't it?" Beauty shook the last of the sugary stuff out and finished mixing the batter, then presented it to Turtle with a flourish. "My very first batch of Pixi Stix Cupcakes, for your inspection, madam," she said with a grin.

"I've got a list," Turtle said with a nod. "I've been studying it so that I know who is, but I don't know some of the newer students, so I'll have to get out and meet them. But a lot of the people I do know, I think they like me, so that's good."
