First floor lobby: All day Monday

The tree was humming to itself - Christmas carols, of all kinds - and moping, just a little bit.

Its branches were drooping, its candy canes seemed somehow less stripy, and it let out an occasional sigh mid-carol.

Whenever anyone came near it, it perked up, humming louder, and offered one of the gingerbread figures which had appeared over night.

Some of them were...interesting.

I was so tempted to leave this off, just to see what would happen.

I chickened out.

Demyx sat down next to the tree with his sitar, to join in and learn the Christmas carols. Even if he wasn't too sure about what they were, new music always caught his attention.

*bauk*

Jack came down to visit the tree...and take the gingerbread man offered. He was less concerned with wondering why it had two heads and three legs as he was concerned with himself being hungry.

If you end the world on Christmas Eve, then you'll make Baby Chickentine sad.

Valentine had to admit that he was curious what the fuss was all about. There was a paper tree taped to his wall, and he had his Naminé about, but this whole "spirit of Christmas" thing was confusing him at best.

But it became a little more clear to him as he munched a gingerbread cookie and watched the Really Useful Book perch on one of the tree's suddenly less droopy branches. Awww.

Ino'd just been passing by but the tree had caught her attention and she wandered over. Taking the gingerbread it offered her, and wondering why it had wings and way too many arms, Ino spent wasted a bit of time inspecting the tree.

Since he was summarily kicked out of his own apartment for the afternoon, Xander took the opportunity to head over to the dorm and drop off presents under the tree for Willow, Isabel, Mel, Dawn, Anders, Z, and Andrew. Also to raise his eyebrow at the gingerbread men. Which totally didn't stop him from accepting.
