Fourth Floor Hallway, Saturday Night

It was a dare. It was just a silly dare, but there was an Andrew, shirtless, running, and screaming down the hall with JOHN SHEPPARD HAS GIRL HAIR written across his chest and back. He really hoped he didn't look as bloated as he felt.

Aravis of course had taken this moment to step out of her room.

"...what are you doing?"

"It was a dare!" Andrew yelled, streaking past her. "Don't look at me, I'm fat!"

Hoshi stood in her doorway, having heard the screaming. "What the heck are you doing?"

"Hold still so I can read!" she yelled after him, and thus followed so she could read. "His hair's not girly! Girls do not have hair that bad!"

"I'm running!" he called out, putting on a burst of speed and shielding his face from her as he passed. Maybe she wouldn't know who he was.

"It's not my fault!"

Andrew slowed down and looked back over his shoulder. "It was Gavin's idea! He said it, not me!"

"Gavin is very stupid. He fell off a horse once," she told him. "And one time I beat him with a bag of clothing because he dyed my things pink. Don't listen to Gavin."

Luckily Hoshi's hearing was her strongest sense and she could identify voices better than faces. "Then whose fault is it, Andrew?" she asked.

Andrew stopped running altogether for a moment. "You beat him with a bag of clothes? Did you hurt him?"

"He dyed my clothes pink," she repeated, shrugging. "I don't think I hurt him."

"It was a dare!" he yelled. "It wasn't my idea!"

And Andrew started running again, remembering how Karal had taken special care to reassure him that Aravis wouldn't hurt him when he had first met her. He wasn't here now.

"I'll never listen to him again!" he called out. "Promise!"

Liir had heard the thumping of yelling and, being a little antsy from everything today, walked up to take a peek and investigate.

...he certainly got more than an eyeful for his trouble.

"Still, you're the one running half-naked through the hallways," Hoshi pointed out.

Andrew saw Liir and shrieked. "Don't look!" he yelled out. "It was a dare! I would never do this!"

Logic was not in operation for Andrew at the moment.

Though he wasn't quick enough to catch the text.

Andrew slowed down. "But..." Liir was right.

"Normally! I wouldn't do this normally!"

He looked down at himself and grimaced. "I like John's hair," he added, defensively.

If he hadn't been in a bit of a rush, Andrew might have tried to argue with her. As it was, he was anxious to get back to the common room, so he just starting screaming again, and bolted on down the hall.

Andrew really should have been aware of the math that was going on in Liir's brain.

"So I have girl hair?"

"What?" He stopped altogether. "No! No, no, no. Gavin wrote this," he said, pointing at his chest. "Well, Karal did the actual writing, but it was Gavin's idea."

Andrew scampered a few more feet down the hall. "Your hair is lovely and totally man like!" he added.

Liir gave Andrew a half-hearted wave and headed downstairs again.

...he would be less confused down there.
