Flag Football Tryouts, Gym, Sunday afternoon
Those who arrived at the gym for flag football tryouts would find Willow there, complete with blue hat, clipboard, and a whistle. She waved when there seemed to be a good enough crowd to start.
"Hi everybody!" Willow said. "In case you don't know me, I'm Willow Rosenberg, captain of the bestest team here at Fandom High, which is also known as the Blue team. John is captain of the sadly penultimate team, which would be Gold. Try not to mock them too openly for not being as great as Blue is.
"Today is tryouts for new students," Willow continued. "Or old students who didn't try out before. Or medium-time length students who possibly fell into an alternate dimension when they should've been devoting themselves to football skills. Which around here is entirely possible. Either way if you aren't on one of the teams and would like to be, this is the place for you!
"We've got a few areas set to tryout. John and I will be watching you and judging your every move to see if you are worthy of flag football so, you know, no pressure or anything.
"Those who are already on teams don't have to try out again, but you're welcome to help the newbies, or just watch, or even make suggestions as to who might make a good teammate. John and I will be over there if anyone wants to talk.
"And remember that this is all in good fun, except when we're trouncing the Gold team in which case we're out for the strictly metaphorical kill. Don't forget to hydrate and warm up and say please and thank you when appropriate or just 'get out of my way, fool!' when that's what the situation calls for. Also feel free to apply a different insult if 'fool' isn't really working for you.
"So, um, yeah. Good luck and Go Gremlins!" Willow did a fist pump to encourage everyone, then went over to where she was going to watch the tryouts.

Tryouts!
Tryout #1: Running without falling and killing yourself
Willow smiled, looking innocent as she said that.
Tryout #2: Throwing and catching without hitting teammates in the face. Or elsewhere.
"Now we know everyone here may not have a lot of experience," Willow added. "So instead of heavy, hurty footballs we have pillows. Throw the pillows, catch the pillows, please please please try not to figure out how to put someone's eye out with them, and, um, have fun!"
Tryout #3: It's called FLAG football
"But!" Willow said, "For the purposes of the tryouts I suppose we can pretend everyone here follows the rules even if they so do not. So please show us that you know not to tackle someone by pairing up with anyone else and not touching them. Try to stay close since obviously it's real easy not to touch someone if you're in separate rooms. So try to get close without touching, try to avoid being touched, and if anybody screws this up so much that it turns dirty I'm going to throw something at you and you'll wish it was one of the pillows."

Re: Audience!
Mostly because she was hoping someone would get hit in the face with a ball.
Because that's always fun to watch.

No, she didn't know how but it could be. She had to have an awareness for this sort of thing, after all.
