The Range - Girls With Guns [Thursday, 5pm]

Today Triela was, perhaps, a bit overexcited. She laid out her cases as usual, because some people were still borrowing them, but she kept getting distracted by excited glances at a nondescript box she'd picked up at Wellspring Arms on Monday.

She hurriedly checked to make sure the range rules were still up before grabbing her M97 and her shiny new box and stepping up to the firing line.

As she opened the box and loaded her shotgun Triela decided that Fandom was a pretty cool place. After all, it wasn't like she'd be able to play with prototype military ammo back home. She chambered a round, aimed at a target downrange, and pulled the trigger.

When the target in question caught on fire she grinned broadly. This was going to be fun.

Three weeks of shooting things!

People hang out and talk here. You could even talk to Triela. If the manic grin doesn't scare you off and you can peel her away from the firing line.

For the shooting. Which Triela is very much enjoying.

And other people who follow a "look but don't touch" policy when it comes to shooting things.

Toward whom Triela might be directing some gun envy.

I had forgotten how much I love the Indiana Jones theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU0m6AspZb0"). Mmm... music.

Kerrigan was here. Bearing her C-10, of course, and keeping a wary eye out for any girls (or non-girls) who'd want to come beg the damn thing this time.

Yamanaka Ino

Annnnd gun club totally continued the trend of making her day be a pretty damn good one.

Ino bounced slightly.

Triela waved vaguely without turning away from the firing line. "New or old?" she asked in an attempt to see who had arrived.

"Old!" Ino chirped, going to find 'her' gun amongst all the others. "How've you been, Triela?"

"Far left box," Triela called as she set another target on fire. "And I'm good! I got my delivery, and this stuff is so cool!"

Dōjima Yurika

"Thanks!" she called, finding the gun exactly where Triela had said it was. Ino glanced over and her eyebrows went up a bit observing what, exactly, was being fired at the targets. "It's very... fiery. Cable-san let you buy that?"

"Yep." Triela was grinning broadly as she fired the last round. "Some other stuff, too. Apparently he has some way of getting experimental ammo."

"How'd you talk him into actually selling it though?" Ino wanted to know, "Cable-san's a bit... erm, picky about who he sells to."

"I think I might have annoyed him into it," Triela admitted as she set her weapon down and started sorting through the boxes of ammunition in front of her. "I just kept showing up and asking if he had what I wanted. Over and over and over."

She giggled, as she started checking her gun out to make sure all was in order before loading it. "I suppose that's as good a guess as any."

Romeo Montague

Romeo was no longer blue (except the slightest tinge around his ears), and he'd gotten flowers.

This made it a good day even before he got the chance to shoot things and maybe see Dojima.

"He's hard to read," Triela agreed. "And he's teaching you how to shoot?"

"Yes, finally!" Ino grinned, "Though I think he only caved 'cause I was going to learn anyway and he wanted to make sure exactly how much I know."

[Annnnd I'm heading to work, sp alright?]

Triela was distracted shooting things, so she just offered him a sort of wave without turning around.

Dōjima watched Triela's target burn, fascinated. "Sugoi! Although I'm kinda afraid to ask how that works."

Dōjima was indeed there, and was sitting cross-legged on the floor, studiously cleaning her gun.

There may or may not be a familiar looking rose tucked in her ponytail.

"Well," Triela mused conspiratorially, "maybe we can teach you some stuff so he won't know everything you know."

"That's not all I've got either," Triela grinned. "There's some other stuff in this box I haven't gotten to try yet."

Romeo's eyes lit up, and he went over to kneel near her. "So the flowers found you," he said, then got nervous. What if that wasn't one of his flowers?

"Anything you're willing to let a beginner fire?" Yurika asked, looking longingly at the case. "I memorized all the rules, I promise."

"They seem to know where I sleep. Strange, that," she said, eyes dancing with mischief. "I didn't know flowers were so clever. They even knew I was going to a ball."

Reno

Reno was there, and he had an orange rose tucked into his lapel.

Reno was in a damn fine mood today, oh yes.

"Fandom is strange. Smart roses are the least of it," Romeo told her. "But I think they would be happy to know you like them."

"Okay," Triela laughed, setting her gun down. "But I'm gonna watch you. Better safe than sorry, right?"

Sokka

Like everyone else, Sokka was in a pretty good mood today. And, you know, here.

"I love them," Yurika said, putting the gun in its case before moving to hug him. "Thank you."

"Yes ma'am!" she giggled, saluting, eyes roving over Triela's collection. "Um, so, what are all of these?"

Romeo hugged her back. "Thank you for giving me someone to give them to," he told her. "And happy Valentine's Day, again."

Jack Burton!

Jack may have a manic grin of his own, especially if firing a firearm. Of which he currently has a stock of zero, thanks to the fine staff at the Wellspring Arms No Guns Center.

She may have caught a certain male student checking her out. Or possibly checking out the firearm. It's hard to tell.

Guys checking her -- or her gun -- out tended to make Kerrigan a little crabby.

Fun side of being a telepath. "Buzz off."

Jack gave her a nod and walked away, not thinking thoughts about nice hardware or anything. Really.
