Cheerleading Tryouts! Saturday, The Gym

Savannah had gotten up and to the gym early in oder to make sure that everything looked perfect -- and was perfect -- for the tryouts.

There was a table set up with pens, pencils and clipboards for all of the current cheerleaders. This way they could write down names and what they thought of each person that was here to try to add to the squad.

She had pulled out most of the mats and set them up, and had the stereo playing bouncy, cheerful music. There was even a table set up with refreshments.

The Fandom High Gremlins are here and ready to see what talent the students had to offer the squad.

Rikku was mingling! And offering moral support! And bouncing! Lots of bouncing.

Reno was a huge fan of the uniforms. A huge fan. And he had popcorn. Which just made the uniforms better, he figured.

Somehow.

A tiny bit amazed that he knew not one but two cheerleaders, Peter sat in the audience in case either one of them showed up.

Rikku had to stick her tongue out. Federal law. Important one.

Reno was going to have to stick his tongue out right back.

And wink.

Nice skirt, Rikku. Niiiice.

Mister Doom arrived to tryout. After all, who knew more about inventiveness and attitude than Doom?

Doom sat down. In full armor. And his standard tunic. And cape.

But he was wearing a blue and yellow headband. Over his mask. And hood.

Brooke still had her Ravens cheerleading uniform, which she did look quite cute in, thankyouverymuch, and she was practiced to the point that she really thought the only way she wouldn't make the squad was if people were threatened by that whole hardcore 'cheerleading is life' thing. Psh.

Good thing she had plenty of attitude, too.

Because it wasn't till now that she realized she had no idea what the team name was here. But she did cover well!

"I'm Brooke Davis, I'm a junior, and I just want to state for the record that I led my old squad to cheerleading championships and once won a special award for choreography. Just so you know," she said, because that was important.

More of her skill was definitely in the more dancey moves, but she'd showed those off in her cheer. So she stuck to the very basic tumblings moves, somersaults and cartwheels, things she could execute perfectly without chancing falling on her ass.

Brooke was definitely checking out everyone, and starting to doubt things if the guy with the armor was some sort of standard for who was allowed on the squad. Eek.

"I am DOOM," Doom said.

He realized that this would likely be his weak point. He was, after all, encased within somewhat clanky metal. He could have used his boot thrusters to help him a little, but that would be cheating. And cheating was WRONG.

He started off with a cartwheel that had rather poor form due to the heavy armor. He followed this up with a backflip that didn't quite work as he landed pretty much on his face. He pushed off the ground and flung himself into the air. He managed to land on his feet, though! "Hooray!" he yelled.

Savannah liked this one.
