The Oscars pre-game was on, Ferris had food spread out on the table and even though he didn't know who half of these people were, he was commenting on the fashion. "Really, why would anyone wear a dress that intentionally makes their ass look big?"

Romeo did not care about the Oscars, but he did have that food radar working for him, so he found the snacks with relative ease. "What are we watching?" he asked, after making a plate and nodding a greeting to Ferris.

Reno should have been packing. Or something.

But Reno was a lazy procrastinator.

"Some people like big ass," he explained as he stepped up behind the couch.

"Pretty people in not-so-pretty outfits showing up for a party where they get to pat each other on the back for making a lot of money," Ferris explained, shuffling over on the couch to make room.

"Not these people. They like their women tiny and their men overly muscular," Ferris replied, looking up to see who he was talking to. "But it's entertaining."

This made perfect sense. "So, like events at home, but on TV," Romeo noted.

After a moment of watching, he added, "I saw none of these films, but that hardly seems to be the point."

"Any chance to laugh at a bunch of rich snots, I'll take," Reno replied, grinning at the kid on the couch. "What's the occasion?"

"I don't even know who most of these people are." He spotted Jack Nicholson. "Wait, no, I know him. He got old...er."

"Yo, Romeo!" Reno grinned and nodded a hello. "Didn't catch any fallout from that punch thing at the dance. I'm almost disappointed." He smirked.

"The Oscars. Awards for acting, directing and all things film-making. People who go to the Oscars make a lot of money, so they have a lot of money to spend on clothes. Some of the clothes are, well," he gestured to the TV. "They speak for themselves." Loudly.

"He is scary," Romeo decided. "I never trust a man in sunglasses indoors."

Yay the Oscars! This was Robin's superbowl. "Hi!" he bounced in and staked out a perch on the back of the couch.

Romeo grinned back. "We might have, if people had not left early," he told Reno, almost innocently. "Though I am almost just as happy it went unnoticed. And good e'en."

"Hi!" Robin waved. "Who do you hope wins?"

"I've seen better-dressed bums hanging around in the slums," Reno decided, staring at the screen. "Who the heck thought that whatever that getup is would even be fit to wear in public?"

"I saw none of the movies, so I am unbiased," Romeo said, trying not to stare.

And, because he was observant, he added, "...you're that frog I was told about."

"He's either doing it to hide the wrinkles, which really isn't working since everything not covered by the sunglasses all ready gives it away or he's trying to hide how bloodshot his eyes are."

"I"m thinkin' we did them all a favor," Reno laughed. "Jus' think how much the StuCo saved on booze for the event, because a pair of thoughtful students decided to donate?"

"Some designer who got paid to be artistic, but really has no idea what they're doing. Maybe I should get into that business. I could do some great 'artistic' things with chicken wire and paper-maché."

"I always thought bloodshot eyes were why that Irish singer did it, or he is a failure as an Irishman," Romeo told him. "I'm not sure about Nicholson."

Tiny talking frog. Okay. "As long as you're not jumping on or in the food, help yourself."

"Maybe he's really a demon and you can only tell by his eyes." It was more interesting than the idea of him being on drugs, even if the latter was more likely.

"Tape a few newspapers to the whole ensemble, add a garbage bag, and you're all set," Reno agreed. "You could market the whole line as 'Hobo-couture,' and tell the world that it's practical fashion for rich people who want to spend an evenin' just slummin' it."

Not that Reno had totally given this thought in the past.

"An untold sum," Romeo agreed. "Were the world just, the entire student body would have sung hosannas for us, but perhaps it is better to be an unpraised hero. Less pressure for a repeat performance."

"Not that we wouldn't do it again in a heartbeat if the punch was really needy," Reno clarified. "Some things just require booze. I can live with bein' the anonymous benefactor at the school dances, though."
