5th Floor CR, Saturday Night

The broom sweeping the floor around Romeo's feet wasn't so bad; it was silent, and no more distracting from his book than a maid at home would have been. (The fact it seemed to be powering itself was a bit distressing, but less so than talking shoes had been.)

But when a container of Lysol started hovering near his coffee-table-propped-feet, he really needed to jump up and protest. "They do not smell bad!" he informed the air, glaring.

It had been a very strange week.

"Hottoite! Oh god, I hate this school!" Dōjima yelled as she fled ducked into the common room. "My room has been invaded by little cleaning goblins, or there's some Witch at this school with a strange sense of humor. Either way, it isn't funny!"

Happy to see her, Romeo kicked the Lysol out of his way; it seemingly took its injured pride to elsewhere in the room, while the broom continued its slow progress across the floor.

"It is not even just your room," Romeo said, gesturing to them. "Perhaps this is how the school saves on hiring custodial staff? Would they would leave us alone, at least."

He gave her exaggerated puppy-dog eyes. "But I cannot say I hate everything about this place."

Ron wandered into the CR looking only somewhat grumpy and not really phased by the whole cleaning supplies thing. "Decided to do some spring cleaning?" Ron asked.

"They did so without my help," Romeo said, then his eyes flickered over Ron again. "... you're back to your normal height."

He was an observant one at times.

"Woke up normal sized," Ron said with a cross look. "All because of that idiot Reno."

"What did you do to set him off?" Romeo wanted to know, dander up just slightly. Reno was all but his best friend.

"First, there was singing. I do not sing in public, it is part of the Geneva Convention. Then yesterday, some hoppy things kept exploding in my room. Now? I'm being chased by cleaning rejects from a fantasy cartoon!" Dōjima eyed the broom warily, inching around to try and steal a seat by Romeo. "Cope failure is pending."

"He's always antagonizing me over something," Ron said with a shrug. "We seemed to be okay last class when the professors at that candy but this was a completely unwarranted attack."

Ron may have forgotten the whole Jelly legs jinx thing.

"Hiya!" Sokka said, as he flopped onto the couch and turned the TV on. "What's new?"

"Hey, Weasley, welcome back to the land of the tall," Dōjima called from her perch on the couch. "Do you know how to make these things stop? The broom is kinda freaking me out."

Romeo reached up to pat her on the shoulder. "And you missed the shoes with free will," he reminded her. "And your partner in Cool class did not put you in a shirt with talking food on it."

He sighed. "We'd be entirely justified in deciding we no longer needed to cope, and lolling about and babbling like the insane."

Sokka grinned at Dōjima, looked from her to Romeo and back again, and waggled his eyebrows knowingly.

"This from the girl who yelled at me for using magic?" Ron asked with a small smirk. "Sorry, but whatever I can do doesn't work. My desk, bed and clothes however look fantastic so I'm not complaining."

"Hey!" Sokka greeted him, with a smile and a cheerful wave. "All better?"

Romeo had his suspicions about how innocent Ron was, but they were subsumed by the mention of the candy. "Last class was brilliant," he told Ron. "How did you get the candies to torment the teachers so?"

"No, I'm still five inches tall," Ron replied equally as cheerfully. "And you?"

"Good evening, Sokka," Romeo greeted. "Little enough, unless you count that." He pointed at the broom, which had been joined by a dustpan and was finishing cleaning the corners. "Are you from one of the worlds where that's normal?"

"Having a seizure, Sokka?" Dōjima teased, batting her eyelashes at him sweetly. "Or does your face just do that on occasion?"

"My brothers make them for a living," Ron replied. "A lot of gag stuff mostly. Fake wands. That sort of stuff. They also make candy that either makes your nose bleed or vomit. Useful for getting out of classes."

"You're the Witch, you should be able to turn it off!" she whined. "If you're going to play around with insane cosmic powers that might eat your brain, can't you be useful?"

"That," Romeo decided, "may be the best way to earn a living I know of. A bit unkind, perhaps, but only when used against the wrong targets."

"Sorry," Ron said with a shrug. "Anything I tried wouldn't work. And magic doesn't eat your brain and it's not insane. Sure there are insane people out there who use it but not me."

"They love it," Ron agreed. "The spent their entire academic career tormenting teachers and the student body with their pranks. Who would have thunk that they could make a ton of money off it?"

"Yes," Sokka replied, with a grin. "I'm having a seizure brought on by an adorably cute couple in love. ...And the cleaning. I'm allergic to cleaning."

"Are you suggesting we should just loll about, then?" she asked, smirking slightly as she poked him in the ribs. "You do realize we're in public, right?"
