The Range - Girls With Guns [Thursday, 5pm]

The rules got their usual check, it wouldn't do to have them missing if a newbie showed up, after all, and then Triela sat down to clean her guns and hum happily to herself.

The paint ball game had been pretty successful. She hadn't had a chance to talk to all of the participants, which was a shame, but she hoped to remedy that today. Maybe they could do it again sometime. She'd like that.

Today promises to be an odd one, so bear with me

Kerrigan... was still a mix of amused and annoyed at her defeat at Deadpool's hands last week.

Which might have been why she was more interested in her PDA than anything else, today.

( no return on pings until tomorrow morning CET, alas )

Ino isn't going to be around due to plotty fun. *nods*

Sokka

Sokka shot some stuff. A lot. Excitedly. With pretty good accuracy.

Sokka tried to sneak up on Triela with a can of blue paint.

Dōjima Yurika

"You know I have enhanced hearing, right?" Triela smirked without turning to see the sneaking.

Which of course meant that while she knew he was there, she didn't know he had a can of paint.

Romeo Montague

Romeo took a seat along the wall and started cleaning and assembling his 1899 gun, He was quite fond of it.

"So," Triela began conversationally, "How did you enjoy paint ball?"

He gave her a wry look. "Part of it was fun. All my compliments to she who took me out, though I meant not to be slow or loud."

"Well, the truth is you weren't especially either. At least compared to the average person. It's just that when people are shooting at you it's best to be above-average."

"Aye," Romeo agreed, straight-faced. "Better still if people do not shoot at you at all, of course, but when that is not an option, being able to escape is of the essence."

"Oh, definitely," Triela grinned. "I highly recommend remaining un-shot."

"And I, having the benefit of your wisdom, shall endeavor to remain so," Romeo said, teasing just slightly. "But you were going to help me be faster and quieter. When shall we do that?"

"An excellent question," Triela tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Maybe next week? I've got some free time any day after Monday."

"Wednesdays are my days off," Romeo said. "After lunch, perhaps? You could distract me from studying for the ethics final."

Dōjima had one of her fashion magazines out, and was reading as she waited for a lane to open up.

"Reading on club time?" Triela teased.

"Just for a bit," she joked back, waving the magazine in the direction of those already on the lanes. "Gotta let them get their practice in before a real lady shows 'em how it's done." Nevermind that she'd gone out to Ino before hitting anyone last week. It's all in the attitude.

"And to think," Triela laughed, "When you started coming to the club you didn't even know how to pull the trigger."

"I can even, mostly, hit what I'm aiming at now," Dōjima replied dramatically. "Not always well, or where I want to hit it, but the stationary targets have fallen to my diligent work."

"Moving targets are still a bit of a problem."

After a bit, Dōjima abandoned her magazine and took up a position in one of the lanes. Her accuracy was better than she had given herself credit for earlier, and most of the shots were clustered just to the left of center.

"OH, right! Cyborg. Forgot. That's AWESOME!" Sokka exclaimed.

And then he threw the paint at her.

"Yes, well, you should work on--WHAT THE!" It was in her hair. Someone was going down for this.

"Practice, practice," Triela sing-songed. "That's how you get better."

"And this is why you should never joke about cans of paint," Sokka pontificated, with one finger in the air and the other hand on his hip.

Triela's grin was wide when she turned to face Sokka. Too wide.

"I know where you sleep," she said sweetly as paint ran down her face.

One of these days, he was going to learn from his experiences and stop antagonizing people who could beat him up.

Today was probably not that day. But he was still pretty scared.

"I have a rabid attack chinchilla!" he warned her.

Turtle seemed...slightly more comfortable about getting up and shooting this week, with her usual care and surprising precision. Each shot was still punctuated with a deep, regretful frown, though.

"Do you have a moving target, then?" she asked, curious. "Since, you know, shooting at my fellow girls would be quite rude."

"You know, I haven't looked, but I bet that if they don't have any pop-up targets here at the range we could get a couple installed. I mean, someone here has to be able to build simple mechanical devices, right?"
