Fourth Floor Common Room Wed Night

Peter was all done with finals, and so was his BFF. That meant time to celebrate.

He ordered in some pizzas and sodas (sadly uncaffinated). He also had a lot of candy on the odd chance a sugar rush would help those going through withdrawal.

There was ANTM, Supernanny, and Top Chef on TV. Peter couldn't really ask for anything more.

As soon as Sam got to the common room, he went straight for the candy, having the same thoughts about a sugar rush as Peter did. Then he saw the television, and eyed Peter. "Please tell me you're not really going to subject us to reality television?"

"America's Next Top Model!" Peter said as though there wasn't a question about this. "They're in Italy!"

"Ooo! Top Model!" Meg said when she came into the common room. She was still as bouncy as ever. "I hope they kick Dominque off. She looks like a dude."

"Not like that stopped Jaslene," Peter pointed out.

"But Jaslene had that Janice man look about her. It was like a glam drag queen," Meg said, grabbing a soda. "Dominique looks like a wrestler."

"That doesn't make the show less about modeling," Sam pointed out.

"I'm rooting for the brunette with the name nobody can pronounce," Peter said. "She's cute and I like the new hair."

"There's Supernanny after," Peter said. Because that would help.

Now all Mac's finals are also out the way, she's so ready for semester to be over already.

She's another one that's taken to sugar to replace her caffeine intake. It seems to be the most popular option, probably because it's cheap. At the point she wandered into the common room, she was chewing on liquorice.

"Any good brain melting TV on?" she asked. "I need it."

"Reality TV as far as the eye can see," Peter said. "How's that?"

"No logical thought processes required," Mac decided. "Perfect."

Sam gave Peter a disturbed look. "Just because we don't have any more finals doesn't mean we won't need these precious brain cells eventually."

"Now just help me convince Sam," Peter said. "He's trying to harsh our ANTM squee."

"Oh me too. I think she's adorable," she said. "The name will help her out if she wins. The fashion world loves weird stuff like that."

"Sam, I'm trying to save you from death by schoolwork," Peter told him. "You've done nothing but study and sleep for far too long. Take time to marvel at how some parents do not understand the concept of how children should not run the house."

"She should shorten it to Kata," Peter said. "At least for the show."

"Yeah, you can tell Tyra is getting tired of trying to pronounce it," Meg said. She shook her head. "If she gets voted off I bet it'll be just because Tyra was tired of trying to say her name."

Sam frowned softly. "I'm not going to die from schoolwork, at least not until the summer workshops start. I might die from caffeine withdrawal though," he said, taking some more candy. "You really find these shows entertaining?"

"Having had to do this sorta thing in detention once, 'squee' might be an overstatement," Mac told him with a slight smirk. "But, I do agree with the copious amounts of sugar and the watching of dumb reality TV right now."

"WOuldn't surprise me," Peter said. "Though she won't be kicked off. You can't deny the power of the hair."

"So you all done with finals?" Peter asked.

"Yeah," Peter said. "Not saying they're Shakespeare but they're fun."

Mac nodded, pulling out another string of liquorice. "As of this afternoon," she replied.

"Normally, I like school, but right now, I am all for the relaxation of a few weeks off. You're done too, I take it?"

Dean's free food sense was working just fine and wandering into the common room, he made a beeline for both pizza and the candy. "Hey," he said to those there around a mouthful of food. "So what's on tv?"

"As of today," Peter said, happily. "I'm free and clear until summer."
