Fifth floor common room, Tuesday night

There had been an awful lot of Fandomonian craziness this weekend. And graduation was in a few days, and that probably meant loads MORE craziness. So, for tonight, people probably needed a break.

So Sokka had gotten pie. Lots of pie. And beverages of various descriptions.

There's apple pie, cherry pie, banana creme pie, chocolate pie, banana creme pie, key lime pie, banana creme pie, lemon meringue, banana creme pie, blackberry pie, banana creme pie...

There seems to be an awful lot of banana creme pie. But, certainly, there's nothing sinister about that at all. Probably.

Oh, and also various alcoholic beverages. And punch.

Yes, there's a DVD all about making pie on loop. Sit back and enjoy.

Eve hadn't been able to resist the lure of pie, even though she was in no mood to be social. Pie won over wanting to be a hermit.

Though she had taken an entire chocolate pie for herself. Go ahead and try to take it, people. If you're not friend or family, you'll probably get a fork in your hand. Except not so much.

She stood off to one side, pie on the nearby counter as she ate.

Sokka stared at her in a disconcerting way for what probably seemed like a very long time. Eventually, he sidled up to her (slice of pie in hand) and asked the question that had been bugging him. "Uh... Which one are you?"

"Eve," she said, cutting herself another slice from her pie -- because really, she could be convinced to share and eating right from the pie itself would be rude.

"Pie party?" Ino asked dubiously, as she considered her options. "Well, I suppose..."

Oh, no, she'd probably WANT the whole pie to herself, once a few more people showed up in the common room. Sokka had plans.

Sokka nodded at her. "Pleased to meet you... again. So it's not really meeting. But I don't think we've spoken outside class, so maybe it is. Anyway. I'm Sokka, and this is not a ponytail."

"Don't tell me you're immune to the AWESOME power of pie?"

"Well," she considered that, "I don't really eat it often?"

Plans were good, though. Yes they were.

"So if it's not a ponytail, then what is it?" she asked. "And I think we've said a couple words before -- you're the guy who had all the angel statues brought in for people to break, right?"

Mel walked into the room and gave Sokka a wary look.

"I've seen television shows that start off with this premise and it all ends in a mess," she said looking for the nearest exit.

Sokka shrugged. "So? Neither do I. Have a piece, and then try to resist more, if you can!"

Sokka grabbed wildly for her arm, making shushing sounds. "Not so loud! Some of them haven't seen this one before, and you don't want to give away the ending!"

"Bet I can," she pointed out with a smile. "I haven't had pie since Christmas and have suffered no withdrawals."

Nonetheless, she found herself studying the pies. Which to pick?

"It's a warrior's wolftail," Sokka told her. "Thought I'd get that out of the way early, because everyone seems to get it wrong."

He grinned. "Yes, I am that. I've got ALL the good ideas, around here."

"Withdrawal or lack thereof is NOT the issue," Sokka lectured. "The issue is PIE."

"Aw, but that's not very fair," Eve said, grinning. "What if someone else wants to have a good idea? They can't 'cause you've got the monopoly on 'em."

"Well, obviously, then I get royalty fees," Sokka told her, with a wink.

That got a snicker. "Are you lecturing me? On pie?"

"Do I SOUND like I'm lecturing you?" Sokka asked. "No, I'm merely informing you in a firm and decisive manner."

"Oh, so that's how it works. Okay, then."

It was impossible to be in a bad mood around Sokka, apparently.

... Yeah. Boring.

Sokka grabbed a banana creme pie in each hand and started flinging.

He has VERY good aim.

She put on her most innocent expression as she finally decided on key lime pie. "Informing me on what?"
