Camp Gym; Early Tuesday Morning.

Cal had been thinking of mixing up his schedule a little to work in a bit more peace; today, though, he really couldn't have done it in the afternoon, so he forced himself up out of bed earlier than usual to head over to the gym. It also crossed his mind that he could take up an activity like jogging or something that didn't put him in potential gym traffic, but the solution to that was simple: jogging wouldn't work the right muscles. He needed shoulders, arms, chest, abs. The weights and the equipment in the gym were what would give him that best. And so there he was, again, working hard to make up for barely working at all over the weekend.

[[ yup, it's open ]]

Not looking forward to today's class very much, John found his way to the gym after his usual early run, hoping to work out all his excess energy that he blamed the cabins for.

"Hey," he said, nodding at the other boy as he moved to get himself a jump rope.

"Nice to see I'm not the only one up this early," John said as he gave the rope a little test swing before whipping it around and jumping.

It was best to stay focused on the task, but John rarely did what was best, which might explain why he was jumping slower than what might be considered usual.

"Morning's good 'cause it wakes me up, gets me going so I can be relaxed the rest of the day." At least, that was the theory.

"Sometimes I think people sense when you want some peace and flock to you," John told him. "It's a part of the weirdness."
