Fourth floor common room, Sunday afternoon

Well, she'd done the "antisocial" thing for a while, and observed people, and things. Maybe it was time to venture out into the common rooms.

When she got arrived, there was the matter of the television. It wasn't hard to get it to turn ON, or to figure out how to change channels or change the volume. Getting it to display something ENTERTAINING, on the other hand, seemed to be darn near impossible.

Agnes flopped onto the couch and sighed. "Oh, POOT."

Tony was out wandering the dorms again. When he came to the fourth floor common room, he stopped and stared at the TV. "What on Earth are you watching?" he asked.

Agnes looked up at him and waved the remote. "I can't find anything interesting. You're welcome to this control device if you can do any better."

"On a Sunday afternoon?" Tony said doubtfully. He took the remote anyway and clicked through channels. "I'm Tony, by the way. One of the newbies."

"Dude, what are we watching?" Toby asked, plopping his gleaming shirtless body down next to Agnes. He was munching on some chips he'd snagged from his own Common Room on his way upstairs.

"Well, welcome to Fandom, Tony" Agnes told him. "I'm Agnes. Nitt. You can laugh if you want to."

She bowed her head a little.

"Are Sundays not good for television?" she asked.

"Why would I laugh?" Tony asked. "And not so much, unless you like saccharine sweet 'family' dramas."

Agnes smiled at that. "I'm not sure what I like, to be honest," she told him. "We didn't get much theatre where I come from."

Toby smiled, his hair glistening in the light as he tilted his head to get a better view of the new hot guy.

"Hey," Tony smiled. "I'm Tony. New student."

Agnes was very happy to see Toby. So happy she was blushing. "Nothing, at the moment. I don't suppose you can make this thing show something interesting?"

Mac eyed the TV as she came in, mug clutched in her hand. "Please tell me there's something better than that on?" she said simply.

Tony took a seat on the couch. "The stuff on Sunday seems to mostly be about happy, morally upright, Christian families who are tempted to skip church, drink alcohol and/or go dancing but in the end do the right thing. Or they do the wrong thing and it ends terribly and tells you why you should never ever do the bad thing."

"Only if you can make it be tomorrow," Toby replied. "Frats is on and I can't wait to see if Cate lands the Hotness Monster."

Mmm...he was cute. Toby approved. "I'm Toby. Old student."

Tony wasn't complaining from his side, either. "Where are you from?"

Mac arched an eyebrow at the semi-naked guy.

"Don't you get cold?" she asked him simply.

It's not that Marco was bored, it's that he was really, really bored and waiting for a few new video games to arrive. So in the mean time? Common room. "Hello world, I have arrived."

"We're trying," Tony said. He offered her the remote.

Toby stared, not getting her point. "Um. Sometimes?" He looked around for someone to make this chick is nutso eyes at.

"Dante's Cove. I washed up on the beach here," Toby replied, stretching his arm out on the sofa.

Agnes shrugged. "YOU tell ME. I'm new to this whole television thing."

Agnes raised an eyebrow at him. "That's awfully good to know. Ought we to have been waiting for you?"

Agnes stared at him for a moment. "...You know, I'm not sure I want to know what kind of programme that is."

"One of those 'every channel is reality TV' problems?" she asked, pulling a face. "Either that, or badly acted soap."
