4th Floor Common Room, Monday Morning

Hinata... had been thinking of boiling a few eggs for breakfast. It wasn’t hard after all, nor did it take long.

... finding out that all of the water taps gave her nothing but cocoa rather put an end to that ambition and she was now mostly amused by it as she sipped at a cup of peppermint hot chocolate.

Yei, for her part, was cheerfully attempting to stick her nose (and her head, and so on) under one of the couches.

Robin came in, yawning. This wasn't his common room but he'd wandered up here anyway.

"Good morning." he said to Hinata, and Yei. "What's that smell?"

Robin sniffed, despite the lack of a visible nose. "Peppermint?"

"Really?" Robin perked up a bit. "Is it good?"

"Yes please." Robin nodded. "Did you have a good Thanksgiving?"

Robin took the cup. "Thanks. Yes I did. My family doesn't usually make a big deal of it either. Since we're indigenous to the US, we don't quite have the same take on it as descendants from the Pilgrims."

Robin took a sip of his cocoa. Ooh, that was good. "Well, the traditional story is that, when the Pilgrims first arrived, they weren't able to get enough supplies together to survive the first winter. But the Indians helped them, and in gratitude they all had a big feast together. Which is a wonderful story, but it kind of ignores the rest of the history of the Europeans and the Indians. My family tends to sympathize with the Indians. Though we do like to get together then and have a big family dinner."
