First Floor Lobby; Friday Afternoon [ 12/19].

It was definitely a busy day for Turtle, but that was just how she liked it. With a little bit of work and decoration after her last class, she finally had the lobby all set up for the little, teeny-weeny party thing for everyone now that exams were all finished. There were tables set up with all sorts of snacks (all served on Westing Paper Products, of course), as well as drinks, and there were blue and gold streamers and balloons draped from the ceiling and some of the furniture as well. But the real crowning touch was the big, bold, glittering sign:

As ~~always~~ usual, the snacks and drinks provided are completely moddable.

Wooo end of semester!

Peter was all for being glad that finals were over. He wandered by to hang out and enjoy refreshments.

Robin was both jazzed, and tired from tonight's performance. But he stopped to grab some food and hang out for a while.

[Off to shoot a short film, so SP like a mo fo.]

Turtle gave Peter a little wave. "Glad to have finals over?"

Yeah, yeah, stupid question, she knew. But it was a good conversation starter.

Turtle gave Robin a little wave. "Think you did okay on your finals, Robin?" she asked, playing good little StuCo hostess.

"If I can get all my classes done on one day next semester, I'm going for it," Peter said. "It's great to blow it all out at once and be done. How about you?"

"I'll miss one of mine," Turtle said with a faint smile; she wasn't going to say which because she didn't want to seem too fangirlish when it was Peter's brother's class, after all. "Not so much the other, but I'm always excited to see what'll come up in the next semester, you know?"

"New students too," Peter said. "It's always great to meet new people."

"Oooh, that's right!" Turtle nodded. "New custome-- err, students, right. Man, how many floods of new kids have I seen come through here? I feel old. But you're pretty old around here, too."

"Next up is my last semester," Peter said. He grinned. "Assuming I pass it."

"Do you have doubts?" Turtle asked, arching an eyebrow.

Possibly temptations since flunking his last semester would mean having to repeat it and that would mean more time with Sam. But aloud he said, "Nah, just not taking things for granted."

Turtle nodded. "That makes sense. Have any after-graduation plans?"

"I'd like to hang out on the island for the summer, if I can," Peter said. "After that I don't know."

"Really?" Both Turtle's eyes and Turtle's mouth made little 'o' shapes, as she, having known what she was going to do after she graduated when she was in junior high school, practically, found this a little surprising. "None?"

Which went far to explain why Turtle arguably had more in common with Nathan than Peter did. "I thought about going into nursing but I'm not sure where that fits in with having powers. I feel like I should be doing more, you know?"

Turtle's head cocked. "Man, where have I been? I didn't know you had powers..."

Then again everyone had powers, except stupid her.

Peter grinned and did his favorite, which was to go invisible.

"That is so not fair!"

But Turtle looked pretty impressed for all her declarations of injustice.

"I can do others," Peter said as he reappeared. "My power is copying other people's powers. Fandom's turned out to be quite an education."

"Do you know," Turtle wondered, thinking that, of all the powers to have, that one kind of beat all, "how it defines other people's powers? I mean, like, what's considered a power? Does it have to be phenomenal in nature, or could, like, if you spent enough time with me, you'd find you could shatter shins with a single kick and save Wall Street?"

Neither of which she could technically do right now, but give her time! Give her time...

"Good question," Peter said. "Some things I can copy, others I can't. I'm not really sure how it makes the distinction. I don't think I could copy your skills, but on the other hand I picked up on that involved drawing."

That was a bit of a relief. She didn't need Peter stealing her thing, after all. She nodded. "Maybe it just takes a bit to hone, or something. Still pretty cool."
