First Floor Rec Room - Tuesday Afternoon (After Classes)

After yesterday's mostly successful attempt at working the computer, Edmund had agreed to meet 'Nothingtosee' in the rec room after classes. He supposed they could have just traded names and seen each other in the halls, but that would make things far too easy.

While he waited, he sat down at the piano. No, he couldn't play, but it was something to tinker with to pass the time.

[OOC: For one, but open as rec rooms are. Just SP from me while I'm at work.]

Molly tried to be casual as she approached, and not seeing anyone else around, made a beeline for the piano. Without looking at the boy, who had to be the person she was meeting, she leaned against the side of the piano facing the wall and said quietly, "The Eagle Walks At Midnight."

If he wasn't who she was meeting, she was going to feel really dumb in a couple of seconds.

She grinned as she tried to remember where she'd met him--going to class wasn't her strong point. "Nice response. And I guess you do. Hi."

"Nope, no double. At least not as far as I know," she replied, nodding, "and yes, I was theoretically in Care of Magical Creatures. I'm Molly."

The bow was a nice touch, she decided. "Showing up to every class wasn't really my thing."

"Not so much. I read a lot, or watch television or movies, chat online with my friends at home--stuff like that," she shrugged. "It wasn't that I didn't like the classes though. They were usually pretty interesting."

"I don't like doing what my parents want me to do," she admitted.

"That's the rumor, anyway."

She shrugged again purely out of habit, but Molly did take the time to consider Edmund's question before answering, "I guess I never really thought about it--I mean, it's like I got so caught up in rebelling and annoying them that I never really thought doing what I wanted to because I liked it."

"Whoa, sorry, getting kind of broody there," she apologized.

"Oh, absolutely. It's utterly unsafe," she beamed at him. "You brood a lot, too, huh? Any particular reason?"

[identity profile] grasshopper-mol.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
"What else are you good at?" She asked, then realized how that might sound, "Er, what do you like to do, when you're not brooding or helping to run a country?"

"Sword work?" That definitely caught her attention. "Are you good? And I guess mostly the stuff I told you already. Oh, and sometimes I try to see if I can turn myself invisible, but that doesn't really work."

She couldn't help the blush that rose to her cheeks. "So far, it involves staring at myself in the mirror and trying to think invisible thoughts."

"Just the one time, when I was being attacked by an evil unicorn, but I don't know how it happened."
