2nd Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Popcorn? Check.

Sweet fizzy drink? Check.

Wolf sprawled on the couch to curl up against? Check.

Darkest Night on the television? Also check.

It was Wednesday night, and so Blind Seer and Firekeeper were here in their usual spot. The story tonight seemed to involve those 'flashbacks' again, this time to some sort of major battle. Definitely an improvement over what they'd been watching earlier.

"Ah, it's the World War II episode," Tony said, settling in on the couch with his bag of chips and can of pop.

"World War?" Firekeeper queried.

And after all the mess in the Common Room earlier... it's good to be in a different Common Room. "Hey, Blysse. Blind Seer." Dinah settled in with a lot more comfort than earlier.

"Hey," Tony said to Dinah with a wave. "Still want to do that thing in the flies tomorrow?"

"Dinah!" Firekeeper greeted in return. As did Blind Seer, though his was more of a bark.

"Big war, about sixty or seventy years ago. It involved countries from all over the globe, so, you know, World War. And it was the second time there'd been a war that big, so, World War II."

"Yup! Me and Hinata too, I hope." She grinned at him. "Since I got in some practice last night, and all."

"Okay, so what did I miss?" Dinah tilted her head, watching the screen. "Ohhh, flashback city. Did they say which war." She gave the popcorn a hopeful look. "And can I have a handful?"

"I heard you were climbing down the walls! That's... kind of insane, you know."

Priestly wandered in in search of snacks.

"Hey Blysse! Whatcha watching?"

"No, spontaneous lack of clothing is insane. Rapelling is just fun," Dinah countered. "And safe! Jamie knew what he was doing!"

"Ah," Firekeeper nodded in understanding. "King Allister's War was not as big as such. Is the only war I am knowing."

"Darkest Night!" Firekeeper said enthusiastically. "Is being about a detective who is a vampire."

"Is much to share," Firekeeper said, nudging the bowl in Dinah's direction. "Tony say it is World War II?"

She hadn't fallen, so maybe she was right. "Maybe," Tony said. "But be careful tomorrow, okay? If you fall, I've got to clean up the mess." He smiled at her.

"Dunno that one. Is it good?"

"It was a big one," Tony said. "They use it for stories a lot. There's actually a bunch of movies coming out right now that are set in that time."

"Is!" Firekeeper confirmed, rather enthusiastically. "The stories is not always making sense, but is much fun to watch."

"Cool, thanks guys." Dinah took a big handful, then nodded as marching ranks of Nazis showed up. "Ahhh. Got it. There's our bad guys." She threw a bite of popcorn at the screen.

Dinah grinned. "We will be, I swear. I don't want to go splat either. But Hinata's a ninja, I'm sure she's got skills." She popped a piece of popcorn in her mouth, watching the screen. "You know, having seen real vampires? These guys seem even more cheesy now."

"They make war into stories?" Firekeeper frowned.

"Hey, Priestly," Dinah said, holding up the popcorn bowl. "C'mon and join us."

"That one is sweating?" Firekeeper shrugged and pointed at the screen. Yeah, not that kind of hot.
