The Range - Girls With Guns [Tuesday afternoon]

The weekend had been weird. At least that's how one might put it if they were prone to understatement. It turned out that Triela was, in fact, prone to understatement. So weird was going to be how she put it.

But it hadn't been stressful, and she'd managed to get her report off to Hilshire. She had half-expected him to call her about that expenditures list, but it really wasn't his style. Since he hadn't responded yet she didn't have replacement ammunition, and that meant she was extremely low on 12-gauge rounds. So today there were no shotguns in sight, just her usual stack of pistols and SMGs.

"Okay people," she announced when enough people had arrived. "Nothing fancy today. Just shooting." She flashed a grin. "I suspect we've all had enough excitement for the next little bit."

Jack Burton

Jack was still in good spirits, if a bit sad that he was kidless. Specifically, Sam-less, not that he wanted babies right this moment.

Oh, target. Will you ever learn? Blam! Blam! Blam!

Dōjima Yurika

Dōjima hummed happily as she went about cleaning and inspecting her gun. Having Kaz and Hana around had been nice, but she knew there was no way she could handle being a parent.

For one thing, it would put a serious crimp in her time on the range, and that was just not allowed.

"You look pretty content," Triela commented with a grin.

"Hey, Jack," Triela called.

He was, indeed, a Mister. And also hot. And an Algren.

All references that certain future children might have made to the samurai over the weekend, however, were certainly questionable.

"My fake children were adorable, if a bit of a handful, and I know that if I ever do have kids, I'm not going to screw them up too badly!" Dōjima said cheerily as she checked over her weapon. "And now they're back with their real mom and dad - and the nanny, thank god - so that's two less things I have to worry about."

"Knowing that there's a timeline where I know I don't turn out as disconnected as my parents?" Dōjima smirked and saluted Triela with her gun. "Priceless."

Triela couldn't help but laugh at that. "I never would have pegged you for going all domestic."

"I did mention the nanny, right?" Dōjima laughed. "Two of them, apparently. One for each kid, to keep me from damaging them too much."

"Good to know that having kids didn't destroy your good judgment."

Dōjima opted to answer that in a very mature fashion by sticking out her tongue. "Nyah! Very funny, Triela-san!"

"Hey," Triela shrugged and laughed at the same time, "you know it's true. Not all of us can be excellent parent material."

Triela, in a rare instance of self-awareness, was kidding. She knew she'd be a really terrible parent herself.

Dinah Lance

Agnes Nitt

Agnes hung out and listened to other people talk about their weekends.

Agnes didn't have any steam to blow off, but she borrowed a gun and used it. That's what they were there for, after all.

"Hi, Agnes," Triela waved.

"Kazuki knew his gun safety!" she protested with mock indignation. "That's great parenting!"
