Emo Roof of Emo, Thursday Night

Francine had a blanket, a book, and a bottle of... Coke Zero. Come on, it was Francine. Still, she managed to look like she ought to be swigging from a flask of something, as she sat on the far edge of the roof, dutifully far away from any emo-sensitive plants, and stared blankly up at the night sky. Book? What book?

[OOC: The roof is a happy garden of joy and delight! ...or perhaps not. But it is open.]

Hey, if she wanted to take a swig out a flask of something, Chuck could help her out. He never left home without one.

Oh yeah, he was on the roof too. But not to emo. To smoke.

"Hello, Francine," Chuck said, pulling a joint out of his coat pocket.

"In my way? No, not at all," Chuck said. He actually preferred people around when he smoked. He got chatty when he was high. "Am I in your way?"

He wasn't going to leave if he was. This was pretty much his roof, after all.

"Oh." Chuck pulled a lighter out of his pocket and lit the joint, taking a drag of it before looking up at Francine again. "You're not brooding or something, are you?"

Chuck snickered. "Know many guys like that?"

And Coke Zero was disgusting. Just drink Diet Coke. It tasted way better.

This was Chuck's opinion on the matter, of course.

"...wow," Chuck said. He didn't realize people actually read those kinds of books. "Definitely not my type of literature."

Jack needed a bit of fresh air and perspective...because every problem looked small when looking down six floors.

He didn't expect anyone to be there.

"Yeah, I could see how enthralled you were with it when I first came up here," Chuck said lightly.

"Like just with books or--" Chuck made a dramatic gesture with his hands. "--life?"

There was a bit of a pause before Chuck answered.

"...I have never thought that."

LIAR.

"Okay, fine. I may have thought you were...ditzy at times," he allowed. "But there's nothing wrong with that. It's cute."

[identity profile] rocksthescarf.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
"What'd you do?" he asked.

[identity profile] rocksthescarf.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Chuck blinked. Okay, really, it had taken Nate walking in on Chuck receiving a b.j. from a dude in the bathroom at St. Jude's in the 9th grade before he realized that his best friend banged guys but...weren't girls supposed to be more attuned to this kind of stuff?

"Was she really good at hiding it?" Chuck hadn't connected Francine's BFF to the angry chick on radio that hated him yet.

Okay, that was pretty dumb.

"Ah. Well...you know now," Chuck said. "So...yes. That's good."
