Angela was bright enough to be saying inside today, thank you very much.

Since she was the worrying type, she was going to be in here, flopped out in front of the television, consciously not thinking about what friends of hers might be doing out there. If she knew people around here, there would be more than a few of them out doing the heroic thing.

She had popcorn (which she had impressively not burnt), and some very non-threatening cliched teen movie. Not a bad Friday night plan, all things considered.

"I hope he's not being dumb and trying to wrestle alligators or anything," she said, pulling a face.

She would not put that sort of thing past him.

"I wouldn't put it past him," Peyton said thoughtfully.

"Neither would I," she sighed. "He's gone after zombies before, weird crocodile things would actually be less creepy."

Not that it made her any more comfortable with the whole thing.

"Hey, I'm sure he's fine," Peyton said reassuringly. "He's a smart guy. And tough."

Angela huffed a laugh. Tough, yes, but as the lone attempts to take on zombies, and Arthur had proved, not always the best at gauging opponents.

"I'm sure," she said, with a nod as she picked at some more of her popcorn.

"I could go look for him," Peyton suggested with a teasing grin. "I've got my baseball bat and well, you know, might be another chance for me to look for my white knoght."

Angela laughed. "I think I prefer you staying off the injured food and away from giant lizards," she said.

"White knights can be found way more safely than that."

"Yeah?" Peyton asked. "Not sure I'd know where to look," she said, only half-joking. "Maybe we should hang out a help wanted sign?"

"An idea," Angela laughed. "But then they wouldn't have the benefit of seeing how adorable you are before they make their decision," she pointed out.

"I'm more a fan of the direct approach."

"Oh?" Peyton asked with a grin. "Do tell?"

"What?" she said, grinning. "You just talk to them, flirt, ask nicely. Simple, direct, and usually they appreciate that." It worked for her, anyway.

Peyton hooted with laughter. "You make it sound so easy!"
