The roof, late afternoon/evening, Friday

Time for dorm-jumping! Dinah had plenty of gear out for rappelling, and already had her vest and harness on. This time the Sixth Floor wasn't in the middle of construction, so it was going to be a lot easier. Plus, a couple people had promised they'd try it. At least once.

For now, there was grinning off the edge and waiting for people to show up.

[Up earlyish for great justice. It's an open roof, so anyone's welcome to drop by, or assume Dinah told you. Or to see people out your window - ping in to the floor comment with a link to an already-open room or CR, or comment from your floor. This is how it worked the last couple times.]

"Jak!" Yay Jak! Dinah beamed at him and hustled over to bounced at him. "I've got gear for you! It should fit, at least, it fit Jamie, so it should fit you, there's a couple more people who said they'd show, but yay! Dorm-jumping!" Dinah might've had coffee this morning.

Yes, that was pretty obvious! Or eco. Jak was still not going to rule out blue eco. Still, she go a rambuctious... thumbs up, as he looked around the roof once, then back on her face. This was going to be awesome.

Tony looked over the edge of the roof and had some serious second thoughts.

"You ever used this gear before?" Dinah checked. "Here, put it on." Um. Not helping fasten those straps around his legs though, nope.

"You promised!" Dinah said, reading that look. "You did!"

Jak reached over to pick it up. In the process, he shook his head, slowly. But... they could figure it out, right?

"Okay, so," Dinah unfastened hers, then stepped out of it, then carefully and slowly put it back on. "Like this?" She gave him a hopeful look. "And then the carbiners attach to the line."

Carbiners?

Uh. Jak could figure that out. Yeah.

He stepped into his, yanking it up (a... little unfortunately, if you went by his facial expression) and then started to poke at the attaching... parts. See? Totally figuring this out, here.

"I'm not backing out," Tony looked away from the edge and focused on Dinah. "But if I die, you're the one who has to explain it to Henry."

Dinah smothered a smile. Mostly. Um. Stepping forward close enough to tug on the vest, she said, "Okay, I can get this, the hook goes here. See?" Click-click, click-click. Turning bright pink now, thanks.

Dinah got a meep! face for a moment, then grinned. "If you're gonna die, I'll probably die, and Henry will just have to figure it out on his own." She bounced. "C'mon, let's get you into a vest."

... Yeah.

She wasn't the only one having that problem. He fumbled down to catch the vest while she was messing with it, and wound up with fingers, instead. Um. Hi?

Hi! Which was more in response to his look than anything else. And... um. Dinah's fingers tightened on his as she smiled at him, for once not sending anything else.

What were they doing, a second ago? ... right, who cared.

It was a very gleeful Claire who showed up on the roof. "Okay, let's do this!" she said, ready and raring to go.

"You're not scared, are you?" Claire teased.

Okay, so not thinking about that when you were holding on to the touch-telepath, Jak. Instead, he smirked his most confident smirk (and missed the mark by, not a mile, but at least a few inches) and returned, Hi.

They were going to be standing here hi-ing for a while, at this rate.
