Fourth floor common room- Friday evening

Mirax was loving the odd stuff this week. Sure, the egg nog shower was nothing she would ever discuss with anyone, and the elf costume hadn't been entirely flattering even if the bells on the shoes made a pretty noise, but the little Christmas tress had been nicely festive, and as the day went on, finding ornaments everywhere had become sort of like a game.

So while the TV was on for noise, Mirax was finding reasons to get up every now and then and check inside a drawer or something. She was amassing quite the little pile of stuff on the coffee table. And she didn't even know what Christmas was.

[Sooooo open.]

One would think that after spending the night in a common room, Griff would be more interested in camping out in his own space. Well, someone who didn't know his bed was filled with glass ornaments might.

Griff and his book were heading to the sixth floor but the call of the television was strong so he popped to see who was hanging out. Aaaand then he spotted the loot and frowned. "Plenty of ornaments in here, then?"

"Got a bed full of 'em," he said, removing one from behind a pillow before he grabbed himself a seat on the couch. That would've been an embarrassing crunch. "It'd be different if there were trees to put them on somewhere, but they're a bit of a waste as is."

"You must've been saved from the green felt hat yesterday," he remarked, wishing he'd gotten away unscathed.

"And the incessant bells on the toes," he said, shaking his head in remembered frustration. "Didn't matter how far I jumped after ditching 'em, the clothes always came back."

Which was likely for the best. "Not like your clothes should be following you," he shrugged off the slip. "Least not when they're on the floor unless you're Karev and have some serious hygiene issues." Ah, roommate love.

"The day the clothing walks, so do I," Griff decided. "I like to think I'm good with most of the crazy, but clothing forming outfits and wandering about is my limit."

"I'm almost afraid to ask," he said, shooting her a wary look.

Her brain was sort of worrying to him. "...I don't think I'd want to be around for that."

Well, not for his clothes to participate, at least.

"If I can get immunity as a bystander to your thinking, I'd jump on that," Griff replied. "You think about all the potential oddness this much?"

"And you seemed so normal," Griff teased. "I've dealt with the other side of animals a bit, but I can't say I'm in a hurry to become one."

"Just remember to find your way to the common rooms, there's always food in here." He'd proved that more than once. "And then it's a matter of not getting tossed out."

"Depends on the animal," Griff pointed out, looking serious about this. "Not your average cat or dog, but a giant feral tiger? Or some bloody man-eating monkey? Gone."
