Third Floor Common Room, Monday night

With the place being a little quieter due to the holiday week, Zayne decided to take his meditation to the common room.

Of course, the remote control happened to be under the couch cushion, so when he sat down the television turned on. After being unable to find the remote anywhere, he gave up and decided to just ignore the television. Unfortunately, the channel was on a Mexican soap opera, and it was just plain compelling. Zayne had no idea what was being said, but that somehow made it even more interesting.

[OOC: CR is open, of course. I am not watching a Mexican soap opera IRL. But according to the internet, I COULD be watching one right now if I wanted to.]

The quiet of this place was starting to drive Mirax a little crazy, so she was glad to find someone on another floor with something going on. Hearing the TV, she said, "So what show am I going to get addicted to this time?"

And then she stopped long enough to actually listen to it. And then there was frowning.

"They're so emphatic," she said, finding a seat to watch without even realizing she was doing it.

"Are we sure he's even married at all?" she asked almost absently, trying to get a feel of what was going on with all the rapid-fire speech and gesturing.

As the scene changed, Mirax grabbed a cushion to make herself more comfortable. "I'm guessing we're gearing up for a catfight here."

"Yeah, they probably- Oh, that was such a fake slap! She didn't even come close to hitting her!" She was taking this as a personal affront.

"If they're not really hitting each other, I don't think they're pulling real hair, either," Mirax frowned. "Though... ouch, that's not a kick you want to be on the receiving end of when she's wearing heels."

"If this was a real fight, they probably wouldn't have gotten this far because one of us would have stopped watching to intervene," Mirax pointed out. "You're the Jedi, you could do that."

"But don't you just get to..." She made a gesture not that unlike what the women on TV had been doing, that was probably either supposed to suggest conducting an orchestra, or something about using telekinesis (ironic considering who she'd marry someday).

She didn't have Jedi in her time, no.

Mirax considered this. "Then maybe stay away from the one with the stilettos," she said.

"I'm going to take this under advisement, you know," she warned.
