Arthur had ~~handwavily~~ sent out notice to all the leaders of the various reserves to meet here during the afternoon. He'd gotten JGoB's to dump some sandwiches and their ilk in the common room, and he fully expected Zack to come and cater to those gathered with his nearly unending reserve of cookies.

They had more important things to do than just have tea, after all.

"Thank you all for coming," he started, once everyone had arrived. "This meeting has been a long time coming. The reserves have grown across the board. It is, hence, of great importance that we coordinate our efforts, especially now that Fandom has seen fit to bless us with another invasion recently. I suggest we discuss how that was handled, what we can do better in the future, and how to spread our efforts out across the reserves themselves."

Pause.

"Also, feel free to partake of the food."

He had to be a good host, after all.

"I think we can all agree that our efforts were far too scattered during the gremlin invasion," Arthur began, poking at a map of Fandom.

Yes, the map the fighting reserves had made themselves. Hush. "We managed to get fighters out here, here and here, but we didn't take the carnage within the dorms themselves into account. The fighting reserves already have a rudimentary phone tree, but we need to better coordinate our efforts and make sure that every member of every reserve has each other's contacts on hand, as well as a possible first contact for every reserve..."

Pause.

"Anyone else have any thoughts or ideas?"

"Furthermore, we need to stage a team drill eventually," Arthur began, "Perhaps a simulated invasion, also to help us learn how to coordinate better such as during the gremlin attack. Likewise, I'd once again like to encourage you all to be present at the various reserves, and to share out our topics for the week so we can stretch them out."

He glanced around. "We also need to work to understand each other's talents better," he said, "So maybe we can exchange speakers one week."

If you're not a reserve team leader and you need to be in the common area for some reason.

"It was actually a mixture of oatmeal and like chocolate. So they mixed that up and you could sort of smell it through--"
"He kept licking it of as well. Colin, stop licking your face!"

That is an OCD more massive than I had originally anticipated.

Of course Zack was there! Mingling, wondering if he should have brought more or fewer cookies.

Cookies kind of seemed like the one trend that was universal through the three groups, after all.

This did not stop him from depositing a package of chocolate chip from JGoB on the table beside the sandwiches, no.

And of course Leto was here too. He had picked up a sandwich and waited for the others to gather.

Zack pursed his lips, thinking that one over, and then he gave his shoulders a shrug.

"Someone from the Support or even the Magic groups might be better than the physical fighters are at getting the word out," he pointed out. "We need our hands for our weapons, and even the people with powers need some sort of focus, right? But if it was possible to make certain that the Support services in particular have every contact they can possibly get between the three groups, maybe they could get the word out, instead of us having to struggle to while we're under direct attack?"

He shrugged again. "If that doesn't work, maybe there's somebody in one of the groups with some kind of telepathic power who can help us coordinate who goes where, and when."

"I agree," Leto said. "Communication is essential and one of the areas where we are currently not well organised."

"I have been trying to keep pushing messages through the phone lines when possible," Arthur filled in, "But Zack's right. We can't simply carry it on our own backs. We simply don't have enough time. Maybe Support Services should set up some kind of... phone... center."

Morgana was there, happily nibbling away on some of the cookies as she waited for everyone to arrive.

There were cookies and sandwiches. Oh, yes. Merlin was all over this.

He was a simple man.

"I have a question for you, Zack," Leto grinned. "Will you explain to me the importance of cookies?"

Zack needed to take a moment to laugh before pointedly reaching and picking one out of the package and holding it to Leto.

"Do I really have to explain, man, when the cookie does all the speaking for itself?"

Leto smiled in greeting to Morgana. "So, we finally managed to arrange this meeting."

Laughing too, Leto accepted the cookie. "I have tasted them, and I do approve. I just wanted to see of you could come up with an argument." He took a bite out of it. "But I think I like this explanation better."

"All arguments pale in comparison to the might of the chocolate chip!"

Yes. Yes, he did totally strike a dorky pose at that.

"I really don't think there are many people out there who can argue against a cookie, anyhow."

"Yes, it's about time. It will be good to get everyone in the same spot for once," Morgana said with a smile.

"Yes," he said. "I'm afraid I haven't had the opportunity to come to your meetings very often."

"Too much sugar?" Although that might not be a bad thing for Zack.

"No such thing," Zack decided, reaching for a cookie for himself.

There was totally no such thing as too much sugar, for Zack.

"I should have known," Leto replied. "And besides enjoying the cookies, how are you?"

"Not bad!" This statement was more or less chirped out around a mouthful of cookie. "Ino and I got out and did some training last night in the preserve, so I guess I could have gotten a little more sleep last night, but I don't think I have it in me to sleep in no matter how late I stay up. And you?"
