Girls with Guns, Wednesday, After Classes

"Welcome," Elena said, nodding to everyone. She had no idea what, exactly, she was supposed to do, but "winging it" seemed to be a good option.

"This is Girls with Guns, except we open it to guys, too. But the guns are important. Triela usually runs it, but she's busy with assignments this semester, so I'm going to be helping out. And we have Captain Algren to be the advisor, so wave hi to him for letting us play with guns."

Thanks, Captain Algren!

"Okay, so, let's start this week by introducing ourselves and talking about our experience with guns? And then everyone should review the safety rules and then we can shoot things. That's why we're here, right?"

They were girls, they had guns, good enough!

This is not the part where we shoot things.

Talk about you, and how you know guns.

This is the part where we shoot things. Hence the name.

First time posting, woo! Sorry I spaced on last week, I didn't realize clubs had started.

Elena was here. And nervous. She didn't honestly know what she was doing, no, but it wasn't like that usually stopped her.

"I'm Elena," she said, unnecessarily, "and my father was a sharpshooter. Sister, too. I trained in guns at the academy before switching my focus to martial arts."

Elena hardly needed an excuse to dig her gun out, for target practice.

She'd missed it.

Claire Bennet

Claire hurried in after cheer practice.

"I'm Claire Bennet," she said. "My primary gun experience has been here in Fandom, though I grew up in Texas and learned how to shoot when I was younger"

Claire hadn't used an actual gun for quite some time and it handled a lot differently than the zat Jack had given her so she was glad to have some practice.

Leia Organa

"Leia Organa," Leia introduced herself. "And my father thought I should know how to defend myself if the need arose. I'm a pretty good shot with a blaster."

It felt good to have a blaster in her hand again, and Leia quite happily took aim at the targets.

Dru Anderson

Dru had a red flag hanging out of her pocket. It was going to be a long two weeks.

She found a seat and watched people arrive.

"I'm Dru Anderson," Dru said when it was her turn. "My Gran first taught me to shoot when I was nine and I've been shooting ever since."

The gun her father had sent her after the gremlin invasion was a comforting weight in her hand. Dru focused on making each shot count.

Of course Algren was there, arms crossed over his chest, settling in for another semester of making certain that the students weren't stupid enough to shoot one another.

After a few semesters of this duty thus far, he was actually starting to have a little faith in them.

Dinah Lance

"Dinah Lance," Dinah said. "And most of my experience is through this club, for the last year. With some extra practice with Triela off and on."

It was good to be back. Dinah read the rules through again, then carefully concentrated on making good, albeit slow, shots.

"Thanks for being here," Elena said. "Is there anything you think we should cover, this semester?"

Not fishing for ideas. Really.
