Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

Not exciting, but fun: Dinah had ordered pizza, made popcorn, and had pop out for whoever wanted it, while she clicked on the Chiller marathon of Darkest Night. The usual theme music swelled, the vampires swooshed across the screen, and hello, Lee's shirt getting ripped. How she'd missed you.

The noise (and the scent of food) drew Azula from her room. Azula entered the room just as Lee's shirt was ripped off.

"What are you watching?"

Well, he had said last night that he was gonna show up.

The free food just made it that much better.

"Diiiiinah," he greeted, grabbing a slice before sprawling out on the couch.

"Hi Dinah," Hayley said, tentatively approaching towards the pizza. She definitely looked a little meeker than normal. "Can I have a slice, please?"

She was hoping she wasn't interrupting, for one. On the other hand, what was the protocol for 'I think you were the one dressed up in fishnets and kicked the not-me's butt'?

"Darkest Night. A vampire private detective show." Dinah was pretty much over vampires in most shapes and forms by this point-- but the sight and sound of Mason attempting to speak through fangs was never not funny. "Tony worked on it in Vancouver and -- hi!" She derailed herself enough to turn around and blink at Azula, recognition coming on-line. "You're back!"

"Booooobby," Dinah responded, pointed at the pizza. "Foooooooood!"

"Good evening," she said lightly, stepping in and taking a seat on the couch after taking a bit of popcorn for herself. "I am not late, am I?"

After all, they'd discussed it the night before--why wouldn't she be here?

Dinah stopped, swallowed, then nodded, giving Hayley an assessing look. "Hey. Sure, it's free for anyone... How're you doing?" How to segue into, 'Uh, you were evil and I kicked you in the face, and I'd be sorry but it was really necessary'? "After that weird weekend a while back and all."

The third floor was sort of middle ground between the ones she tended to hang out on, and it was where the smell of pizza was, so Kennedy wandered on in.

"Hey," she said half-absently, making a beeline for the food. "What are we watching... oh. Yeah, that eye candy's all yours."

She'd be flinging the popcorn at the screen.

"Nope, we've barely gotten started," Dinah assured her, smiling. "Pull up a chair, and prepare to mock monsters. They really deserve it."

Dinah craned her neck around to see who it was, and grinned. "Don't worry. A neck-of-the-week will come along in a low-cut blouse before the end of the first act. They always do. This show doesn't want to neglect any demographics."

"All the best monsters do," she assured her, with a soft laugh. "How else would the show be appreciated?"

"I certainly am," Azula replied and strolled into the common room like she owned it, "Missed me?"

"Well, I appreciate Lee being shirtless, but it's a little weird now that Tony's dating him," Dinah said, although that probably didn't make total sense. "And I appreciate the background music?"

It really was atmospheric, cellos and drums. Waaaay better than the wolf-man stepping on-screen and raising his head to howl. The eyes looked like glass, and the fur was sticking out out at the places where the zippers were.

"Like a toothache," Dinah said, giving her a smirk. "How was home? If that's where you went. Grab some pizza, settle in for bad TV."

Her laugh wasn't quite so soft as she took a moment to listen to the music.

"The music is rather well done," she conceded, shooting Dinah a smile. "I'll c-concede that much... Someone is dating someone?"

"Oh, I'm pretty much healed," Hayley said, figuring that was a nice sideways way to talk about things. "I mean, the ribs were sore for a week, and I think my nose still feels a little funny sometimes. But that was Batman's fault, not... the fishnet lady's."

"Nice to know they're thinking of me," Kennedy quipped, and perched herself on an arm of the sofa. "Except for the part where hi, can all the dumb victim types stop being girls already?"

Dinah nodded as the scene changed to Mason and John Taylor Grant talking in Mason's office, looking Way Serious. "The dark-haired guy. Tony, my best bud? He worked on this show for a while, and now he's dating the actor." She grinned. "Again. I got to visit the set of the show, and watch them film for a while last summer."

"Oh, the guys get to be dumb victims too. They killed off Officer Cupcake at the beginning of this season," Dinah said wistfully. "He was really cute, too." She grinned at Kennedy. "I got to be one of the victim types in an upcoming ep!"

Hinata studied the television for a long moment then had to smile.

"Sh-Shall I congratulate him on his taste?"

She was shy, she had a crush of her own on someone very different--but she had eyes. And she was going to pink up at having had the nerve to say what she had.

Dinah winced, feeling guilty that she hadn't checked on Hayley sooner. "Sorry about that... I would've thought the damage would just disappear. I guess the Island felt like being mean to you and did you say Batman?"

Oh, man. Bruce. That had to be a head-trip for him, assuming that it was him who'd had to be Gotham's Dark Knight.

"Aw, Dinah, it's like you know what's in my heart," Bobby said dramatically. Or, you know... was familiar with the eating habits of teenagers.

"I always do," Dinah said, snickering as she nibbled on her pizza, then elbowing Hinata at her daring. "Plus he's way nice. He's appearing in a play in New York right now, Tony promised we'd go see it before it closes."

More howling. Also, if you looked to the left on-screen, you'd see... a couple camera guys who didn't get out of the shot fast enough.

Dinah chortled, and said, "Like I'm feeding your soul? With pizza? I'm supposed to be sorta-psychic...."
