Feeling a little inspired after Glee Club, Ariel had spent some time in her room, listening to music and dancing, but figured she still had a lot more she could do to develop ideas for actual choreography. She bounced on down to common room to flip on the television and see if she could find something with dancing to inspire her even more.

What she found, though, instead, was Project Runway.

And could only gawk and wonder why, with all the fashion she'd absorbed from her job, she hadn't discovered this until just now.

She so needed to learn how to sew....

"...Do I even want to know what show that is?" Ino asked, wandering a whole few doors over in her quest to find juice.

"It's called Project Runway," Ariel offered, looking over her shoulder with a grin. "From what I can tell, it's about people designing clothes and competing for who has the best ones. I remember reading about it in a magazine, but I haven't actually seen it until now. It's really pretty interesting!"

[intraspective]

"How do they decide who makes the best?" she asked, curious in spite of herself as she opened up the fridge and contemplated the contents of it. "Ain't that a--personal choice issue there?"

"Oh, definitely," Ariel agreed with a nod. "They have a panel of judges who discuss and decide, but they almost always agree with each other, but never with what I like. I guess they're supposed to be experts, though."

[intraspective]

Ino picked up the white cranberry-strawberry juice and poured a glass while thinking about that.

"...Why have a panel if they always agree with each other?" Ino grinned over her shoulder. "It'd be more interestin' if they argued! Experts or not!"

"That would be more interesting," Ariel agreed. "But they make up for it, I think, with some of the drama between the designers. Some of them are just crazyflakes."

[intraspective]

"Isn't that true of most creative types?" she asked, amused. "You want a glass before I put this away?"

"Ooh, sure, what is it?" Ariel asked. "And there isn't anything good to eat hanging out in the refrigerator, too, is there?"

[intraspective]

"White cranberry-strawberry," she said, holding up the bottle of the pink juice. "It's good and the white cranberry ain't so tart as normal cranberries are."

A beat.

"I suppose," Ino added, "if there's anything good depends on your, shall we say, personal taste."

But she was going to see anyway. Cue Ino opening that fridge back up to check.

Bruce was going to go to the common room to fulfill his personal social behavior. When he saw what was on the TV, he nearly turned right around. When he saw who was watching the TV, he figured he should probably stick around.

"What's on tonight?" he asked.

"Oh, that does sound good!" Ariel said with an agreeable giggle, and then considered the rest of what Ino said, which added to her grin. "And my personal taste is pretty open, as long as there's no fish and it's not Thai."

Ohhh, bad memories with both of those, yes.

[intraspective]

"There's leftover pizza!" she reported, not really caring if it was someone else's. "Uh. Hawaiian, I think? With the pineapples anyway."

[intraspective]

"Scary fashion shows," Ino chirped, with a bit of a wave in his direction. "Totally ridiculous and weirdly entertaining."

"Oh! Bruce!"

Well, this was a nice surprise. Ariel almost immediately shifted where she was sitting, to make plenty of room for him to come join her. She even patted the seat beside her as she said, "Project Runway. I've never seen it before, but it's pretty interesting. Have you seen it? You should come watch it."

"I don't think I've had that!" Ariel said. "Bring it over. It's pizza, so it can't possibly be bad, right?"

[intraspective]

That took her a few moments of getting pizza out--she was just going to take the box, why not, right?--pouring another glass of juice and oh so carefully carting the whole thing over to the couch.

Who needed plates?

"Pizza is generally pretty good," she admitted. "And the pineapple is nice, I think, though on its own I don't like it so much."

Too strong.

"You find it entertaining?" Bruce asked. He was a little surprised by that. "I wouldn't have pegged you for a fan."

[intraspective]

"I've been watching it for--fifteen minutes," Ino clarified. "For the first time ever. Clearly I'm a deep and long-term fan."

"I'm not a big fan," Bruce admitted as he took the offered seat. "Strangely, I'm not that into fashion."

"This? Reall--oh," Peter said, his snark cut off by noticing who else was in the room.

"I wonder if the clothes are waterproof," he remarked.

"Well, you've got to start somewhere," Bruce mused. "This time next week you'll be bringing the snacks."

"Thanks!" Ariel happily accepted dinner and a drink to go with her awful television. "I'm pretty sure you can put almost anything on pizza and it'll still, somehow, magically work."

[intraspective]

"You think so?" Ino wondered, studying her drink thoughtfully. "I'm sure there's got to be some things that just don't go together. Like... um... caramel and pepperoni."

Because, ew.

"Are you going to show up next week to see if that's true?" she teased, arching her eyebrows at him.

See, because now she was almost tempted.

"...Most clothes aren't," she said, a bit dubiously.
