Fifth Floor Common Room, Thursday evening

Bruce had developed a sore throat randomly. He didn't want to admit that he had a cold, so he went to the common room to make some tea. Random tea. Not tea to make him feel better. Tea to have and perhaps share if any other tea drinkers were around.

"If I were sick, it would be much tougher to make this tea," Bruce grumbled to himself. His voice sounded like hell. He was pretending it didn't.

[OOC: I'm bored and it's cold. And Elaine gave me this idea. HUZZAH! CR is open. With tea. And Bale Batman voice. Just... pretend that everything I write is in that voice, okay?

ETA: Sorry, landlord is here doing some stuff. Sloooow because of it.]

"Hello, Bruce!" Rilla said as she walked into the common room. "Oooh, is that tea?"

"Man, you need a lozenge," Peter declared, coming into the common room. He grabbed a soda out of the fridge. "And maybe I shouldn't be encouraging you to talk."

"What on Earth is the matter with your voice?" Rilla asked. "Have you tried gargling with salt water?"

"...are you planning on threatening someone in a darkened alley?" Maladicta had to ask. Because it was the only plausible conclusion.

"Wow. Do you smoke cigarettes, or do you eat them?" Peter continued to joke. He popped open the top of his soda and shrugged. "Well, here's hoping Alfred is an herbal remedy genius."

"Very threatening," Maladicta assured him. "Would you like coffee?"

Coffee, she could make. Tea was just mucky water and beyond her patience.

"Extremely English?" Peter repeated. "I didn't think the English were extreme about anything."

Yeah, she was already making the coffee. For herself.

"Try not to get everyone else sick."

"What, not cricket?" Peter said. "Not that there's much of a call for extremism in cricket."

"What kind of tea is it?" Rilla asked.

Rilla nodded. "Susan uses that too, when she's not reaching straight for the soothing syrup. I have some of that back in my room if you'd like?"

She had to give that a little thought. "No, I don't think we do."

Unless it involved glitter and stalking.

"You could try a quarantine." Stop being helpful, Maladicta.
