3rd Floor Common Room, Friday evening

With the 'lab' in the slow process of being set up during his plentiful free time, Tony was left with a lot of work to be done. Mainly being writing far too much code for his potential security programs.

And the suit.

And, thanks to Ender, breaking into satellites. This place was going to be a great influence on him! Really, it was.

So, to keep from driving his roommate insane with incessant typing, he was in the common room for this part of the work.

Alexander wasn't sure if he was really peckish for something to nibble on, or if he was just feeling anxious and bored, but, either way, he was drifting into the common room in search for perhaps an apple or maybe a banana. Because he was a dork who snacked on fruit, and was bored on a Friday night.

He offered a simple, "Hello," and a nod to the boy sitting on the couch, followed by a, "Shall I get you anything from the fridge while I'm over there?"

"Sure," Tony replied, not looking up from his work. Because someone was offering and it would be rude to say no.

Plus? Hungry.

Bruce... didn't have anything he was coming from or going to, for once. He just needed a break from a lot of the reading he'd been doing for the past day, so he was checking the common rooms for signs of life.

"Good evening," he said, stepping into the common room. When he noticed the typing, he had to ask, "Is that work or play?"

"....anything in particular?" asked Alexander, with a slight arch of his eyebrow. He could certainly see that the boy was busy with whatever he was working on, but he didn't know if he'd be so quick to trust someone to just surprise him.

Tony paused for a moment, fingers freezing over the keys as he thought it over. "Is there any pizza?"

"A little of both," Tony replied, glancing up at the slightly more familiar voice. "They're kinda the same now."

"There usually is," Alexander nodded, and opened the fridge for a closer look. "A-ha! Indeed, there is a box right here, although it appears to have...Cheetos on it?"

How did that even get down here?

"That sounds pretty good, actually."

"A new Stark project, then?" Bruce asked. "What is it?"

Alexander shrugged, and then asked the really important question. "Hot or cold?"

"Ah, a security system." That was nice and legal. "For communications software."

"Cold." Tony had to give him a look as though the very question was confusing. "Leftover pizza has to be cold or else it's gross."

"For use internally or is it a commercial product?" Bruce asked out of simple curiosity.

"I can't claim to be much of an expert either way," Alexander admitted, finding a flat and putting a few pieces on it before bringing it over to the couch. "Anything to drink?"

Funny how one just fell into old habits...

"If you're up for bringing a soda over..."

"Good evening, Bruce," Alexander greeted the other young man with a nod. "How have you been?"

"Internally." A beat. "I can't actually sell anything until I own the company again."

Because there was no way in hell he was giving Stane control over more of his inventions.

And he didn't even realize it! Alexander moved over to the refrigerator again to peruse over the available options.

"Of course; would you prefer Sprite, Mountain Dew---Aww, Sunny D, alright!"

"Ah. Intellectual property rights," Bruce said. "But your IP doesn't immediately transfer to the company as long as you don't try to sell it? That could be worse."

"Mountain Dew sounds good!" Because Tony had no taste. No taste at all.

And was too young to catch the reference. Siiiigh.

"Very good," Bruce said. "I've been meaning to check in with you, Alexander. The belt you made me came in very handy a few weeks back."

And at least it wasn't crazy caffeine-less Canadian Mountain Dew.

Alexander poured him a glass from the two liter and passed it over. "I'm Alexander, by the way," he said.

Because, clearly, introductions came after serving someone dinner.

"Did it?" Alexander asked, a pleased smile on his face despite himself. "May I ask in which way? I'm glad to hear it, too, as it's become a bit of a staple for me to make them."

How those Canadians survived was a mystery to all. "Tony," he replied, taking the cup as he juggled the laptop. Yeah, like he was going to part with it.

"When we had the labyrinth pop up, I was in one of the groups that went into it," Bruce said. "I was able to keep a lot of supplies in there that ended up being useful."

By which he meant it gave him a bunch of weapons with which to attack a big robot.
