Fourth Floor Common Room | Tuesday Evening

For once, Caroline actually had a project to do! She was kind of excited about the idea of making signs for the sibling she hadn't technically gotten yet, but felt certain she deserved, so of course she was going to get one, it was simply a matter of time. And so Caroline had gathered a ton of supplies from the shop in town, and okay, since there were vikings all around, there was a total Icelandic theme going on. Makers, glitter glue, and construction paper in colors she had deemed within the viking spirit were laid out all over the floor in the common room.

Sorry people who had hoped to walk by.

Caroline wasn't certain about her first attempt, but that was why she had more poster board, duh. She brushed a bit of glitter from her bare knees as she got to her feet, surveying the work she'd done so far. She took a few steps back to see if her sign was readable at a distance and nodded, pleased with her work. Now if only she had a name to add. Fill in the blank was kind of hard.

But then, maybe someone was taking the whole big sibling thing a little far.

[So totally open as CRs are!]

Bobby was looking for cookies, but when he saw all the glitter that Caroline was using, he considered backing away slowly.

"Are you a cheerleader or something?"

"There's nothing wrong with being a cheerleader!" he said quickly, uncertain if she'd actually answered his question or not. "I mean, it just seems unfair cause they always cheer for the boys' teams but no one ever cheers for the girls' teams, and they really are kind of way too into glitter."

"Student Council here or at your old school?" Bobby checked. "I think Student Council here would have to do rickshaw washes, and then the rickshaw people would probably get annoyed at getting wet."

Claudia's room seemed kinda empty-ish now that Quinn had left, and so she found herself wandering through the dorms. She paused in the door to the fourth floor common room and tilted her head.

"Wow. That's some impressive glitter work."

"I can see how they would be." Claudia totally wasn't now pondering how to fabricate a glitter-horned-hat maker. Except for how she kind of was. "I bet the new locals would totally love a hat like that."

"Well, they have to clean them with something," Bobby pointed out. "Or they'd be all dirty and muddy all the time, but they're not. Maybe there's special rickshaw-rust-proof cleaner. I bet T&C sells it." He was putting too much thought into this.

"But now you can run for student council next year! And plan all the dances. I went to Homecoming." Because Caroline so needed to know that. He frowned. "One day I might! When I'm old enough! Why can't I?"

"They are odiferous," Claudia agreed, though she was pretty sure that wouldn't stop her from investigating the town for long. They had boat makers! She as sure they'd have thoughts on building trebuchets, too. "But you've got to appreciate their clear sense of personal fashion."

The whole corruption thing made Bobby narrow his eyes, but it was her last comment he responded to. "If I had a girlfriend why would she have to be little!" he argued, full of frowns. "I went with Rosalind, but it's not very nice to assume that only little kids would like me! I'm not that much younger than you."

"I don't know, maybe you should ask Jake," Bobby said, still frowning. "He'd know more than me."

[identity profile] notlikejack.livejournal.com 2011-05-03 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"...that Jake knows her better than me?" Bobby replied, eyes widening. Danger, Will Robinson, danger. "He got all frowny and RARR and stuff at me for going with her?"

"Uhhhh," he suddenly wondered if he was doing something stupid like telling Missy that Jack had kissed Courtney...

"I'm from Minnesota," Claudia said. "Maybe the wrong girl to ask about cold. Maybe it's a man thing? Like, they have to prove they're totally not girly or something dumb like that."

"I still don't know what the posters are for ...I don't think he growled. But he told me he was a werewolf, and if it hadn't been really cool, it would've been scary? But I'd never met a werewolf before," Bobby said, still a little uncertain but more worried about the girl with the glitter glue.

"I'd look totally awesome with a beard," Claudia said.

No, no she wouldn't.

"But, uh, no. No facial hair for me. Not without messing with entirely the wrong chemicals."
