Apparently, she was just better at not dealing with things than he was. Nathan would chalk that up to having dealt with emotions earlier in the year even if he'd gotten blasted and hurt there.

Making out on logs wasn't the most ideal of situations but since she seemed to be getting into it, Nathan had no trouble with deepening that kiss even more and trying to pull her against him. He wasn't trying to get her into his lap but they could still be pretty fucking close without that happening.
