Now that he was back in town, Bruce had something to test.

After getting settled in earlier, Bruce picked up some Chinese food for anyone who might stop by the common room looking for some dinner, sat down, and turned on the TV, looking for some kind of interesting documentary or, at the very least, a marathon of something on Discovery.

Of course, the TV went straight to a Secondary School Operetta marathon, leaving him unable to change the channel, the volume, or turn the TV off.

"It's like I never left," he snarked to himself before deciding to focus on the food.

[OOC: CR is open and Chinese food is moddable! And the TV, as stars_and_money has pointed out, hates rich kids.]

"...do you only watch bad TV?" Tony asked. Because this room wasn't rich enough yet.

"Not by choice," Bruce said. "It's pretty well established that the TV hates me."

"Did you do something to it?"

"No," Bruce said. "But hatred can be an irrational emotion, stemming from virtually anything. And the television feels it toward me."

Tony looked from him, to the TV, and then back again. "You're not allowed to claim I'm going to destroy things with technology when it hates you so violently."

"I don't think I've ever claimed you'll destroy things," Bruce said, defensively. "I've only implied it."

"Same thing!"

"It wouldn't hold up in court," Bruce pointed out.

Of course that would be Bruce's response. "It's totally slander against the Stark name."

"I definitely wouldn't go that far," Bruce said. "It's just a poorly received implication against Tony Stark. And you set me straight on that anyway."

"Considering I'm the only Stark left in the company, I think it works."

"I still think it's a stretch," Bruce said. "But if you want a formal apology, I could write one up."

Tony crossed his arms over his chest, giving Bruce a completely serious look. "I think it would be for the best."

Bruce tore a flap off of his food box and pulled a pen out of his pocket. On it, he wrote, "Sorry. -BW"

"I hope you find this sufficient," Bruce said, passing the formal apology over.

After taking the paper and giving it a careful once over, Tony nodded. "I think I'll leave the lawyers out of this then."

Oh, the money they could make in this room.

"Glad to hear it," Bruce said.

"Out of curiosity, you called this out as terrible television pretty quickly. You haven't watched it before, have you?"

"...no." Totally had. Oh god, why?

"It would be more convincing if you said you only watched for a few minutes because of the girls," Bruce said.

"Shut up," Tony replied, taking a seat on the couch. "It was in a bundle of movies I downloaded."

"And so you just watched it since you had it anyway," Bruce said.

"Only the beginning!" Because he got distracted by work.

"Judging by how bad it's been so far, I actually believe that," Bruce admitted.

Tony tilted his head as the people danced on top of tables in the cafeteria. "You know, if real schools were like this, no one would ever go to class. They'd only practice those dances."

"So you don't believe they'd just work it all out spontaneously?" Bruce asked.

"Not unless it's a hive mind thing." Oh god, save them!
