Second Floor Common Room [Tuesday, Late Afternoon]

No more calls today for Kate, for which she was really, really grateful.

Today she'd done nothing in particular, and looked set to continue with that, complete with pizza, and the apparently rare ability to tune the TV in the common room onto something that wasn't a talk show, infomercials or trippy cartoons. It was a fucking miracle. She'd managed to find a meta Terminator marathon. Enough about this world was the same, that she recognised some old movies.

She was here, and she had no plans to move for a while. This was her celebration, see Greg?

Freddie, on the other hand, was bored. Bored and wandering about with his PearPad. He ended up in the second floor common room and plopped down into a chair.

"...Are you gonna make fun of me if I don't know what show this is?" he asked.

"...depends," Freddie said after a moment of consideration. "I don't tend to whine if it's particularly creative. I mean, I wouldn't want to give a bad first impression."

He smiled at Kate pleasantly.

"...awesome," Freddie said, after a moment. "I keep getting weirded out by how different some things are from where I come from. And not in the 'weird magic and stuff' sense. It's the different TV, that's what messes with me."

"Stuff like... Food Fight, the Dingo Channel, Celebrities Underwater," Freddie said. "Most people look at me funny when I describe that last one."

Freddie smiled. He definitely liked this girl. "It's kind of in the name. Celebrities try to spend the most time underwater. David Schwimmer almost died, one time, it was actually kind of scary."

"It's for charity," Freddie said. "So no weirder than other d-list celebrity shows, I say. I'll watch it over America Sings, any day."

"I think that might be a good thing," Freddie admitted, tapping away at his PearPad for a moment. "Some of them are cool, but waaaaay too many are just kind of trashy."

"Yeah, only MMA people can do that, in real life. We've had some on our show, actually. They're usually pretty cool, and even kinda laid back for fighters, which I never expected."

He finally set down his PearPad. "So how lost am I going to be coming into the middle of this?"

"No, no," Freddie said. "My friends and I do a webshow, it's a little bit of everything. It's called iCarly. We're kind of... internet famous."

"That's okay, most people here haven't heard of it," Freddie said with a little sight.

"Wait... you have trouble getting computers to turn on?"
