Pride Meeting, First Floor Rec Room, Wednesday After Classes

"Hey, guys," Petra said to the group, "I don't really have an activity planned today, so I thought we could just...talk about whatever's up with us, or what's bugging us, or whatever. I hope that's okay and I'll try to have something more fun for us to do next week, okay? In the meantime I made cookies. I hope you like them."

It's a good old-fashioned bitch session! "I'm in a 'why do I have to wait until I'm eighteen to have surgery, this country sucks,' mood lately," Petra said to start things off. "But it doesn't really matter because ha, I don't have the money anyway. Also, I broke the heel on my black pumps and oh my God finding size eleven shoes that aren't hideous is such a pain in the ass."

He probably doesn't have a broken shoe. Also, he could probably kill you with his shoe.

"You should take up a collection," Seifer suggested. He had the pack 'n play set up next to him, where his kid was playing with some wooden blocks. The droid baby was in need of a bath, because someone had let it crawl around in the room, and it had ended up under the bed.

Kenzi had a droid baby too, but fortunately Darya was sleeping. "Why *do* you have to wait 'til you're eighteen?" she wondered, nibbling on a cookie. "What's the age got to do with it?"

His shoe totally had a knife in it. So... yes. But even if there hadn't been one, he could still manage.

Like a boss.

"Like I even know?" Petra asked, rolling her eyes. "Oh, and the guy I'm stuck with on this fake baby thing--which, what's up with that anyway? It's ethics class, not sex ed or whatever--is a total douche."

"I was too horrified to be paying attention," Kenzi admitted. "Who'd you get stuck with? At least Luke can make clothes appear out of thin air for Darya here." She frowned at the sleeping doll. "That's ethical. Or more ethical than shoplifting them."

"Nathan something. I don't know. He's a dick. I sewed Sadie a onesie last night and, you know, she'll just have to make do with that. Whatever, she's fake."

"Sadie?" Kenzi grinned. "Kind of an old-lady name, but cute. Wait, I know that guy, I've had him in classes. Not gonna help, is he? Too bad nobody actually flunks, here. I mean, it's a relief for me. But too bad it doesn't apply to him."

"No, he was all, 'Oooh I'm immortal, look at me, I'm gonna put the baby in the drawer where I keep my condoms,'" Petra said, doing her best Sinjin impression but turning up the annoying. "I mean, what the hell?"

Hanna thought about the things she would like to bitch about. Though she wished she could, they were all things she could not talk about. So she was mostly going to sit this one out.

Kenzi snorted and almost got crumbs up her nose. "He's what now? And I get that it's just a doll, but dude. Seriously."

"It makes no sense that you have to wait," Tara said, frowning at her cookie. "I'm ... sort of stressing. My ex sent a message saying she was going to this kind of dangerous place like two weeks ago, and then her phone went dead."

"I received a similar such message," Raven said, giving Tara a concerned look. "I have tried to contact her since then, but received no reply."

"I know," Tara said. "And she hasn't updated her Facebook or anything. I thought she'd at least say 'Hi, in Sunnydale, it is very Hellmouth-y' but ... no. I'd call Constance but I d-don't have her number anymore."

She looked sad, tucked her hair back. "we shouldn't worry."

"She is very skilled and knows how to take care of herself," Raven said, trying to sound convincing. "She will be fine. You are right, we should not worry."

Fat chance of that, however.

"I wonder if I could do a locator spell that works across dimensions?" Tara mused. "I mean, I know she'll be fine, it'd just be ... nice to see it for sure, you know? Even if her phone stopped working or whatever."

"Technology that spans dimensions surely must be prone to breaking down," Raven agreed. "Magic is more powerful. And surely it would not hurt to check on her and reassure ourselves she is fine. We will undoubtedly feel silly afterwards, but relieved."

"So you don't think I'm being a stalker?" Tara asked. "I don't want to invade her privacy or anything. I mean, maybe she turned her phone off for a reason."

It didn't sound like Kennedy, though.

"The message she sent me said she would keep in touch if she could," Raven reasoned. "And that excrement was to become very real, which I understand to mean potentially dangerous. So she could hardly fault us for being concerned, and no, I do not think you are being a stalker."

She smiled at Tara. "She will probably just roll her eyes and say 'God, Raven,' or some such thing."

"And she'd be kind of half impressed and half freaked out if I got the magic to work," Tara said, smiling back. "I'll do something tomorrow and let you guys know how it goes."

"Good," Raven said. It'd be a relief to know Kennedy was all right, especially after what had happened with Jono.

"If I can do anything to help, I will do so gladly."

"Thanks. I might need back-up to kind of ... intensify the magic?" Tara said. "I'm not sure. It'll be a big spell either way. I've never located somebody across the country, so I need to figure out how to get around that, too."

"My soul spans multiple dimensions," Raven said. "I do not know if that could be helpful, however."

Just don't as how her soul was multi-dimensional. Nodding and accepting was recommended.

"I don't even know," Petra said, upturning her palms in a gesture of confusion. "He said we should wrestle to decide who had to keep it and he would win because he was immortal. Because apparently we were wrestling to the death or something. And then the thing about his condoms. Boys. I don't get them. So I told him we had to act in the spirit of the assignment and also, that I know ways to make him suffer, and that we were naming the baby Sadie, not Barry. Because it's a girl." She paused, then went on with, "I mean if it was a real baby and decided it wasn't, you know, then it could be named Barry, but Barry is kind of a terrible name anyway and it's not likely to come up in the next week, now, is it?"

"Barrie with an i-e is kinda cutesy as hell, and yeah, if Sadie decided she was Sam that's something completely different, and... right. Robots. Not likely to happen in the next whenever." Kenzi paused, and settled on, "So Nathan: not daddy material in any universe. I think that's your consequences for the assignment right there."

Tara frowned. "Can you feel the piece of soul that should be in her dimension?" she asked. "Or is that ... not how it works?"
