It was probably best not to explain how it had come to this. But it really started with the fact that there weren't enough girls around right now and, well, Bruce had been somewhat preoccupied with girls this week.

That lack of girls to occupy his time brought him to the sixth floor, where he found the sign. You know, the one by the entry to the common room that said "~~TOTALLY HETERO SHIRTLESS BRO BASH~~ GUY PARTY." Yes, as the crossed out portion of the sign indicated, Bruce was shirtless. It was hard work getting all of the stuff set up, with the TVs and tables and stuff. That was work you couldn't do with a shirt on with things being what they were with the heat and such.

And boy, was there a lot to set up. Bruce made sure there were a few TV screens set up, a poker table, and a selection of sodas, chips, and sandwiches.

This was why crime in Gotham was screwed. This was the kind of party Bruce Wayne threw on a whim. And he didn't even have to punch anyone to make it happen.

One was showing the NBA on ESPN. One was showing Spike, which was surely airing Space Battles for the 18th time this month. And one was showing a Julie Andrews movie marathon. ~~Meta for~~ Mary Poppins was hardcore, yo.

I hardly know 'er. But seriously, pick up some cards, throw chips in, and pretend like there's any kind of organization to this game of poker. There won't be. By god, I swear one round will have at least six 8's. Or just talk and stuff.

Like that wasn't going to get mentioned in a guy party.

Suggest something else that could be bro-ing on here in a subject line.

Clearly, we needed male counterprogramming to the girl party.

There may not be an emphasis on guys making out, but bros will be bros, you know?

"I'm not taking off my shirt," Tony said firmly. And not just because there were bruises and bite marks.

Mostly.

"I think I'll be able to live with that," Bruce deadpanned.

"Try not to pine for me or anything."

"I'll see what I can do," Bruce said. "If it helps you at all, you're not really my type."

Of course, Bruce's type had expanded this week.

Friday night, and Bobby was totally Down To... uh. Party.

Although for the moment he still was in possession of his shirt.

"Not bad," he said in that way that was code for 'totally awesome'.

"Thanks," Bruce said. "Just seemed like it had to be done tonight."

It was either that or restart Fight Club, and that seemed like an especially bad idea.

"It's no penguin sanctuary..."

"As long as that's established," Bruce said.

Although, frankly, Stephanie apparently saw something in him. And if there was anyone who he could trust, it was probably her.... That was a weird thought.

"No pining at all. Not even due to our orphan bond."

Oh, levity.

It was loud, so Topher had come up to investigate.

"It's a party," he observed. Intelligently.

Kate was here (in her really subtle man-disguise of a hoodie and sweatpants) to steal chips.

Because she was bored and restless and it was quiet around and... look, she fitted in better here than with the girly hair braiding and spin the bottle, sad as it was. Shut up.

"Why not?" Topher was just curious, okay? For science.

Tony nodded solemnly at that. "It's a sacred thing," he replied.

Tony helpfully tapped on the metal circle just over his heart with a dull 'clink'. As if that would answer everything.

"You don't look like a bro," Tony said teasingly.

"It is. Feel free to join us," Bruce said.

"You look kind of familiar, 'man,'" Bruce said. "Have we met before?"

It was a very good disguise, clearly.

"We could always find someone to put in a tutu if you wanted," Bobby suggested.
