4th Floor Hallway, Thursday Night

Freddie sometimes should not be left to his own devices.

With the combined power of garbage bags, duct tape, and industrial sized bottles of, erm, personal lubricant (hey, he was the iCarly technical producer, this was not his first time needing that sort of thing), the entire hallway was now a giant slip-n-slide.

Some mattresses on either end made sure no one would end up dying.

For now, though, he was just going to be in his swim trunks and penguin sliding up and down the hallway. Because he could.

"Pantalones!" he cried, because that's how Freddie Benson rolled.

Rapunzel hadn't helped with the set-up, but that was only because she hadn't known Freddie was up to. But when she walked into the hallway, her eyes grew wide. Very, very wide.

"Ohmygosh! Is this a slippenslide?" That was what he'd said when he was a she, right?

"Yep!" Freddie said, very carefully balancing himself so as to not slip and fall. "Normally they use water, but I realized that might end up causing serious building damage. So instead... special oil. It washes off easy."

"Oh, that's very clever!" Also clever? Being vague about what it was, since saying more would probably lead to Rapunzel asking for long explanations.

"And you just... slide?"

"That's the idea," Freddie said. "And you can get really good distance, too. You just have to be careful with the run-up, since it's a little slippery."

He'd totally biffed out a couple times, but it was all in the name of fun.

"I don't... have to wear special clothes, do I?" Rapunzel hadn't had a chance to look into those swim suit things yet, but that looked really fun!

Raven had been trying to meditate in her room when she heard the commotion on the floor below. She hadn't thought many people were left in the dorms, so curious, she came down the stairs to investigate.

"...what are you doing?" she said.

"You don't have to," Freddie said. "But the oil might make your clothes a little... oily."

Well said, Fredward.

"It should wash out just fine, though. You'll just need to change after."

"It's a slip and slide!" Freddie said, sliding over to greet Raven. "Come on, it's a lot of fun. And since almost no one is around, we can be as loud and silly as we want."

He grinned. "So... join us?"

Rapunzel was totally scrambling onto the plastic.

And promptly slipping and falling on her butt.

"Careful!" Freddie said, wincing just a bit. He reached down and offered a hand. "I wasn't kidding about the slippery. It's... well, they make this stuff to be like this."

Vagueness was his friend.

Rapunzel was giggling, so it must not have hurt too badly.

She reached up for Freddie's hand with a grin, but hers was already coated in oil, so when she tried to pull herself up, she just managed to slip flail her way back onto the plastic.

Raven shook her head, though she did give Freddie a smile. "I am not very good at being loud and silly," she said. "I tend towards quiet and serious."

"Hello, Rapunzel," Raven said when she caught sight of the other girl in the hall. "How have you been? You did not join our classmates on the spring trip?"

Freddie couldn't help but snort a laugh.

"See, it's fun already," Freddie said with a little smile. "Now the trick is to get a run up enough to slide down the hallway."

"Well then, I think it's time you got a little practice while there's not too many people watching," Freddie explained. "Because loud and silly is way more fun. Practically by definition."

"Oh, Raven!" Yay! Rapunzel liked seeing her friends!

"And, no..." She flushed ever so slightly. "I kind of... wanted some time alone?" Which still felt weird, but Rapunzel felt a bit more relaxed than she'd been before she'd spent most of a week in a nearly-empty dorm.

"What about you?"

Sam heard the shouting on her way back from a food-finding mission (the fourth floor did well for sweet snacks, but the second floor totally always had the best deli meats). She took in the reinvented hallway with raised eyebrows.

"Wow, Freddie." She grinned. "This is totally awesome."

"Can you slide the entire way?" Rapunzel asked, eyes widening in excitement at the prospect.

"The same," Raven said vaguely. Even after a weeks in Azarath she still found solitude more comforting. "I did not find myself in the mood for travels, so I decided to stay here. I did not expect many others to remain behind as well."

"Well, maybe," Freddie said. "You'd have to get enough of a run-up. Which is tricky without slipping, like I said."

He demonstrated by trying to run to slide off... and promptyl slipped and faceplanted... sliding just a little bit down the hall on his stomach.

"See?" he said with a laugh.

And so, Sam was greeted by her boyfriend wearing swim trunks and with a heavy amount of... oil on him. He waved, a proud smile on his face.

"Why thank you. I'm thinking we might want to film a clip or two for iCarly with it. I'll just have to wear gloves or something."

"There aren't that many, are there?" She certainly hadn't encountered them. Though that was because she hadn't really been out much.

"I can feel you are certainly enjoying yourself," Raven said, and she dropped her shields enough to soak that feeling in, as unfamiliar as it had been lately. "But perhaps I will just watch for now."

Since Freddie was laughing, Rapunzel decided he must not have gotten hurt, so she grinned along with him.

Then a thought occurred to her. "Oh!" She grinned a bit wider. "It's nice to finally meet you properly, Freddie!"

"Oh hey, yeah," Freddie said with a grin, rolling over and sitting up. "It's nice to properly meet you, too. This feels way less awkward."
