Main Campfire, Sunday Afternoon
You know, Atton had been happy to say goodbye to communal living when he came here (the single room was an extra plus). Being back in the middle of it had not been treating him all that kindly.
Not that he couldn't cope. It was just annoying. Sleeping in one tent with a Force sensitive wasn't making it any easier, either.
So, yeah, he was going to get out of his tent whenever possible. Crash down by the side of the fire. Maybe get some food going the way he'd learned a long time ago, back during the wars. Anything was good if you put it on a skewer and held it over a fire.
He was quickly developing a shine towards these hot dog sausages. Got a whole pack of them and everything.

Not to mention, cooking with campfires, which was something Firekeeper was especially good at. And so on their way back to the campsite from the Gig, they'd stopped and acquired a couple of rabbits and some furry fish.
Finding a campfire already going, the wolves settled down with a nod of acknowledgement to Atton. Pulling her Fang from its Mouth on her hip, Firekeeper then set to work skinning her catch.

Instead, he quirked an eyebrow at the wolf. "That a pet?"

"No," Firekeeper said shortly. "Not pet."

"We has our own meat, anyway," Firekeeper said, nodding down at the rabbit she'd nearly finished skinning. "But we are happy to trade some, if you wish."

He wasn't that attached to these sausages.

... Well, okay, yes. She would.
"Rabbit," she informed him, gesturing to the woods. "We catch it here. Some fish too." Which were also due to be skinned, because fur. "Is good, yes."

He figured it wouldn't poison him, at least.

What, had this kid been raised by banthas?

"They do not have such where I am from," she informed him plainly. "But I do not think they are powered by fire."
