Third Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Well. If you asked Frank, this whole pretending-to-be-a-loyalist plan was a pretty good one. He'd been on Team Good for about two weeks now, opposing the evil regime and all that, but instead of living in the back of a warehouse and fishing food out from bins, he got to hang out in the common room, sleep in a bed, and wash his clothes regularly. Really, it was the best way to do things.

So, taking full advantage of that, he had his clothes in a laundry machine downstairs, a movie on about some guy going on a road trip on a moped, and an insane amount of Chinese food on the table in front of him.

He'd totally bring some of it back for his fellow rebels to enjoy, but right now he was bonding with some mu shu pork. Just cut him some slack, okay?

[[finally got up the courage to post something and it winds up being... this. open, with SP while [livejournal.com profile] lockestheway and i grab some sushi!]]

"Smells tempting," James said after entering the room, looking around for familiar (or unfamiliar) faces.

Billy peeked his head into the common room at the smell of food, and smiled softly at Frank. It was nice to spot someone else he didn't have to totally be on his guard with, although being on his guard was getting to be a way of life now.

"Hey. Trying to feed an army?" he said.

"Spoken like someone who knows his way around food. Mind if I try?" he asked, gesturing to an un-devoured box of Chinese food.

Billy smiled more and took a seat before peeking through the boxes. "It looks good. Did you, um, did you have a good day today?" That would be an easier question if people didn't have so many different ideas of what counted as good.

"I somehow managed to get a schedule without classes on Mondays, so I had a nice day off." Of mostly hiding in his room, that is. "This is sort of the highlight though."

"Thanks for the tip," James said with a small hint of a smile. "Dumplings seem to make every day better." He took two and tried one. "This is good!"

"Oh, totally. I mean, everyone's better off with their families than trying to get by on their own." Ugh, talking like that had become far too easy. "It's nice to have sane people to share the food with too. People who understand what's really right and all."
