Jessica had gotten in some training time earlier, so she was in the mood to just veg out. Fortunately, there was a little thing called "Death Rave" on TV. According to the listing, it was a movie about a serial killer who stalked club kids. After just a few minutes, it was clearly the kind of dumb that made Jessica look it up on her phone. The wiki page said that it was based on a screenplay that was meant to be a cautionary tale, but script rewrites made it a slasher flick instead.

It was when she realized that 'scare kids away from a partying lifestyle that can lead to drug use and pregnancy' turned into 'if you go out partying, this facepainted guy will straight up stab your face with a syringe until you die' that she understood it was a popcorn night.
